It’s another crowded weekend in Disney World, even if it’s supposed to be one of the “quieter” seasons in the parks.
Today, each of the four parks have hit capacity as guests make their way over to their favorite attractions and restaurants in Disney World. As things pick up speed today, a fan-favorite attraction is down while others have a surprisingly long line.
When we think of the busiest rides in the Magic Kingdom, spots like Space Mountain, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Splash Mountain come to mind. But, things are looking very different today as a classic attraction from the mind of Walt Disney brings a crowd of guests that we didn’t expect to see on a weekend in February!
The Carousel of Progress is one of those places you visit when you need to take a break from the Florida heat or you need to rest your feet for a little while. (We’ll even admit that it’s a good spot to take a nap while listening to “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” 😬). And, you know it’s a packed day in the parks when the Carousel of Progress queue looks like this.
The line wraps around the entryway ramp and pavement leading up to the entrance…
…while the end of the queue stretches farther into Tomorrowland. When we passed, the queue was only a posted 15 minute wait, but we rarely see the line look like this!
We’re honestly a little shook to see a ride that’s usually pretty empty FILLED with families who are willing to wait in a long line just to hop on the Carousel of Progress. You can only imagine what the rest of the Magic Kingdom looks like today if the Carousel of Progress seems like the go-to option for everyone in your party. 👀
We’ll be sure to keep our eyes on the crowds in the parks over the rest of February! And, we’ll give you all the details you need to know about wait times, queues, and more before your upcoming Disney vacation!

That’s exactly what it was like on a Saturday in January (I don’t believe the park was full capacity that day)!
