The EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival is in full swing (or bloom, ya might say)!
Spring is one of our favorite times of the year at Disney World because Disney pulls out all the stops and decks EPCOT out in flowers! Oh, and there’s food. You know wherever there’s foods and drinks, that’s where you’ll find us! So, we’re back at EPCOT to bring you all the new and returning festival eats.
Menu
We’re taking a trip around the World Showcase to Northern Bloom. This booth is located in the Canada Pavilion and is back with the same sweet and savory menu from last year. We’ve got the smallest change to the drink options — there’s a brand-new beer we’re gonna try!
Let’s get started!
Food
We’re certainly not complaining about welcoming back the Seared Scallops with French Green Beans, Butter Potatoes, Brown Butter Vinaigrette and Apple-wood-smoked Bacon! You can give it a try for $7. Keep in mind that they’re also gluten-free!
Meat lovers will be happy to see the return of the Beef Tenderloin Tips, Mushroom Bordelaise Sauce, and Whipped Potatoes with Garden Vegetables. This hearty dish is as tasty and savory as ever, and costs $6.75.
And, it wouldn’t be a festival booth if there wasn’t something sweet to go with all the savory! The Griddled Maple Pound Cake with Warm Peach Compote and Sweet Corn Gelato has returned to offer some balance to your meal. This dessert may be a good option for kiddos or picky eaters!
It costs $4.75.
Drinks
We’re not sure how Disney comes up with their drink ideas, but we’re happy to let them continue thinking outside of the box if it means we get more Maple Popcorn Shakes! That’s right, it’s back this year, and we’re LOVIN’ it.
You can add Tap 357 Maple Rye Whisky to make this non-alcoholic shake a bit boozier. We thoroughly enjoy the balance of the whisky and maple flavors so we opted to spike our shake. The strong whisky cut into the maple flavor for a perfect combo. This drink is priced at $4.75 without whisky or $13 with!
A NEW beer has come to join the party! You can now try the Goose Island Beer Company Lost Palate Hazy IPA with Mango and Cinnamon. There’s a slight fruitiness, but not a ton of mango flavor. There are some cinnamon notes, but it’s not at all overpowering! We’d rank this IPA higher than the one over at Magnolia Terrace.
There’s also two returning beers: 81Bay Brewing Apricot with Maple Syrup and Collective Arts Brewing Blackberry Fruit Beer. You can try them individually ($4.50 for a 6oz or $8.50 for a 12oz) or in a Beer Flight for $9.50.
The 81Bay Apricot is REALLY sweet, with a strong maple aftertaste. Surprisingly, though, it’s not heavy, and there’s not too much apricot flavor! And the Collective Arts Brewing Blackberry Fruit Beer is refreshing — but not sweet! It’s our favorite of the three. We could definitely down a few of those on a hot day!
Overall
Visiting this booth is like taking a bath in maple syrup and we certainly don’t mind! Our returning favorites continued to impress us (we’re just happy we got that Maple Popcorn Shake back!), and the newest beer addition was solid. Definitely head to this booth for some super-sweet flavors from up North!
