We had an EXCELLENT morning today. Why? Because we started with sweets!
Okay, maybe it’s not the BEST idea to start your day with cake and cookies, but we aren’t complaining. If you’ve been keeping up with the Disney dessert news lately, then you’ve probably heard a LOT about Gideon’s Bakehouse. Well, they don’t call these the best cookies ever for nothin’!
Gideon’s Bakehouse officially opened in Disney Springs at the beginning of this year and it has been mega-popular ever since. The virtual queue for the cookie-based spot can be HOURS long. AND there’s a limited-edition cookie every month.
March’s cookie is the PB Chocolate Swirl for $6 and yep, it’s a peanut butter and chocolate lover’s dream. Get ready for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups to never taste the same again. We actually got to try this sweet at the grand opening and LOVED it, so we’re pretty pumped to taste it again.
This cookie is a combo of peanut butter dough swirled with triple chocolate dough. Add chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and house-made candied pecans and we’re already drooling.
This cookie was VERY chocolatey but we loved the sea salt and yummy peanut butter chips. It definitely had Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup vibes but it was way, way better.
Now listen very closely because we’ve got a COOKIE HACK! Snag a tub of the Peanut Butter Buttercream for $1.50 when you check out. Dunking the PB Chocolate Swirl is this deliciousness really ups that peanut butter game If you tend to like peanutty flavors more than chocolatey ones, this is a must-do.
You don’t really think we’d go to Gideon’s Bakehouse and just get one thing, do you? We also snagged a slice of the Chocolate Everything Cake for $9.
This cake is made with a chocolate cake base, and mounds of chocolate buttercream. Plus, their triple chocolate cookie is placed on top AND all throughout the cake.
As you can imagine, this slice was sooooooo rich. It was definitely amazing, but it was hands down one of the richest chocolate cakes we’ve ever tried. A bite might feel like enough dessert for the day!
And we picked up the White Cold Brew for $6. We’ve given some of the other flavors (like that AMAZING Peanut Butter Cold Brew) a try, so we were excited to give this one a sip.
This coffee was yummy, but probably our least favorite of the coffees we’ve tried at Gideon’s. It was tasty but not NEARLY as interesting as that PB Cold Brew or the Ginger Snap Cold Brew.
Overall, we’re not sure there’s been anything at Gideon’s Bakehouse that we outright didn’t like. If you want to try any of the items we snagged today, head on over to the Disney Springs location! Keep in mind, the cake slices DO rotate and the PB Chocolate Swirl Cookie will only be around through the end of the month.
