Something new is coming to Magic Kingdom!
We’ve seen quite a few changes around the park lately, from construction around Cinderella Castle to refurbishment on classic attractions like the Mad Tea Party and the PeopleMover (oh PeopleMover, we miss you). But while it might seem like lots is temporarily closing, something new is opening VERY soon.
A brand-new Orange Bird mural is on its way to Magic Kingdom! Imagineer Zach Riddley shared that this art would feature one of the park’s classic characters, who originally represented the park’s Sunshine Pavilion (that’s part of Adventureland as we know it). And guess what?! The mural will debut TODAY.
The mural was designed by Sr. Concept Designer Chris Gardner and painted by artist Abdul Delgado. Check out Delgado adding some finishing touches to that DELICIOUS-looking Dole Whip!
While Disney hasn’t officially announced where this mural will pop up, we’ll keep an eye out for it and let you know where you can find it! We have a feeling it’ll be near this little guy’s OG home in Adventureland’s Sunshine Tree Terrace. As always, stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news and updates!
