There may be a new baby animal on the way in Disney World!
We’re pretty invested in Disney’s baby animals here at DFB. We’ve shown you baby giraffes, rhinos, babirusas, aardvarks, and more! And while we don’t have another little one to welcome JUST yet, we’ve got a hint that one may be on the way at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
On the 6-acre savanna in Kidani Village, we spotted an okapi couple mating! A nearby Cast Member told us it’s super rare to see 2 of them together here — it only occurs during this mating period.
Their names are Olivia and Elombe. Elombe is also known as Eli for short!
And since they’re mating…could a baby okapi be on the way?! No one knows for sure, but we can only hope!
