Disney is constantly adjusting its safety policies and procedures.
Recently, it updated its mask guidelines and specified that guests who received the COVID-19 vaccine will still need to wear a face covering on property. But we recently noticed an important change in the parks that could impact how you social distance.
Currently, Disney has social distancing markers spaced at least 6 feet apart for groups to stand on while they wait in lines. Previously, they’ve stated that guests in parties of more than 10 will need to split into smaller groups on these markers and elsewhere in the parks to allow for social distancing. Now, though, people will need to get into even smaller groups.
We spotted a new social distancing policy on trash cans near ride lines, stating that no more than 4 guests could stand on each social distancing marker. When we’ve been out in the parks, we’ve noticed that it’s been tricky fitting larger groups on a single “Please stand here” line, so this change may assist with that.
Next time you’re out and about in Disney World with a large crew, make sure you split into groups of 4 to wait in lines! We’ll keep you posted with more Disney updates, so stay tuned to DFB.

Curious about families of five. Sorry kid, you’re the youngest so you stand by yourself.

They just come up with more stupid things. I saw a family of 9, 2 parents, 7 children. They are lucky those people were willing to pay to get into their mask mandated, shorter hours, limited attractions & food venues & barely any live entertainment parks. So let’s eliminate every single facet of magic, like a family enjoying an outing together.
They need to solve problems, not create them.

I’m confused why Disney is getting stricter while the rest of the country is getting loser?? What they have had in place for the past 6 months has worked great! Why make people even less wanting to come by tightening up?

Joel, it’s a surefire to let everyone know where they stand (pun intended).
