Earlier this year, Disneyland announced that it would be discontinuing its Annual Passholder program.

We’ve gotten a few indications about what Disneyland’s new passholder program could look like, although no new membership has been announced yet. But, fans with active Disneyland Annual Passholder memberships as of March 14th, 2020, who are now known as Disneyland Legacy Passholders, have still been able to get some discounts on food and merchandise all around Disneyland. And now some Disneyland Legacy Passholder discounts are being extended!

According to the Orange County Register, the Disneyland app will actually be updated tomorrow, March 16th, with a digital discount ticket for Legacy Passholders. Legacy Passholders will then be able to use this digital discount ticket when buying good or merchandise, placing mobile orders, and using the mobile merchandise checkout system to get their discounts.

The OC Register also notes that the Legacy Passholder discounts will continue until Disneyland announces a new membership offering.

The digital discount ticket will automatically appear in the Disneyland app for Legacy Passholders who had linked their annual passes to the app. If you have not linked your pass to the app, you’ll receive instructions on the process.

We received an email about the new discount app feature today. It specifies how this new feature in the app will be the new way to validate and process your discount. Keep in mind that starting tomorrow, Legacy Passholders will need to show the new digital discount ticket, their Annual Passport, and a valid photo ID.

Right now, the Disneyland Legacy Passholder website notes that Legacy Passholders can enjoy food and merchandise discounts for a limited time, depending on their passport type. The discounts include up to 20% off select merchandise at Disneyland Resort theme parks, and up to 15% off dining throughout Disneyland Resort.

For now, the discounts for Legacy Passholders will expire on April 30th, but that expiration date will be automatically extended until new membership offerings are announced.

Again, the email indicates that you should link your digital discount ticket prior to your next visit to Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland’s theme parks have now been closed for over a year. But, Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District has reopened. Buena Vista Street also reopened as an extension of Downtown Disney, but it is currently closed. Disney California Adventure Park (including Buena Vista Street) will soon be open for guests to enjoy through a special ticketed event called A Touch of Disney.

Recently, Orange County (where Disneyland is located) was able to move from the Purple Tier to the Red Tier under California’s reopening plan. In the Red Tier, theme parks are allowed to reopen at 15% capacity and with other specific restrictions in place. Disneyland’s theme parks are currently set to reopen in late April.
