Buckle up: it’s spring break week in Disney World!

We’ve been warning you that spring break would be crowded in the parks, and after a surprisingly quiet weekend, the people have arrived! Disney’s extended park hours in anticipation, and Park Passes have been booked to capacity. So...what do 4 parks at capacity look like during spring break? We braved the crowds and took a look for ya!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Monday

Let’s kick off the day in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! There was a steady stream of guests heading into the park around 10AM, but nothing we haven’t seen before.

However, the wait times were lookin’ LONG. Na’vi River Journey was at 75 minutes…

…and Flight of Passage was at 95 minutes! That’s significantly longer than the wait times we’ve been seeing here recently.

And guys, get ready for this: the line for Kilimanjaro Safaris was wayyy back to Creature Comforts! Yup, that’s the Starbucks on Discovery Island. Just in case you’re in disbelief, we’ve got photo evidence for ya.

Over in DinoLand USA, the wait for Dinosaur was 60 minutes…

…while TriceraTop Spin was at 20 minutes. We’ve seen this ride at 20 minutes pretty frequently in the last week, so nothing totally unexpected there!

And in Asia, Expedition Everest was at 25 minutes…but the line stretched ALL the way back to the theatre for Finding Nemo: The Musical! Keep in mind that all of these lines look way longer than they are due to social distancing. Of course, that doesn’t mean the crowds aren’t ROUGH out there today.

While Animal Kingdom didn’t feel too crowded walking around, the wait times are proof that spring break has arrived. Let’s hop over to some other parks and see what’s goin’ on there!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Monday

Welcome to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! We pulled up around 9:30AM to find the parking booths practically deserted.

Sunset Blvd. was pretty quiet in the morning, too! We grabbed some blueberry waffles and had a relaxing morning before — you guessed it! — those crowds hit.

By noon, the line for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster stretched back into the Fantasmic! entrance. This isn’t unusual — in fact, this is how the line’s typical spaced out for social distancing! — but it does indicate a pretty hefty wait time.

Just a little ways away, Tower of Terror stood at a 50-minute wait. Again, not TOO bad, but definitely an indication of some crowds.

And under the hot, beating sun (ya know the feeling), it was tricky to find a clear path through Toy Story Land.

Well, at least the morning started out nice and quiet!

Tuesday

We headed back to Hollywood Studios in the afternoon on Tuesday and the crowds had really thinned out!

We had no problem making our way around! Almost all of the wait times were around 30 minutes, with the longest being Tower of Terror in the afternoon at 45 minutes.

And, unlike yesterday, there was even more room to spread out over in Toy Story Land!

Did we somehow miss the memo that Tuesday over spring break was going to be the better time to head to the parks? Let’s head off to Magic Kingdom and see what we’ve got!

Magic Kingdom

Monday

We made it to Disney World’s flagship park! When we arrived on Monday, we headed straight into Fantasyland to see what the wait times were like at some classic rides. Around 3:45PM, “it’s a small world” was at 40 minutes…

…and Peter Pan’s Flight was at 45 minutes!

And if you wanted to throw on some 3D glasses and enjoy a show, you’d have to wait just as long for Philharmagic. The line was 40 minutes long and wrapped around the side of the building!

Meanwhile, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was at 75 minutes. But the area around the ride wasn’t too crowded — there was plenty of open space to walk around!

Over by Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, we got REAL confused, because we couldn’t spot a single soul.

But don’t worry! We found everyone by Splash Mountain, where the wait was 85 minutes.

Certain areas around Magic Kingdom were packed, but others were surprisingly spacious!

Tuesday

We were back at Magic Kingdom on Tuesday and…dare we say it…it wasn’t all that crowded!

Even with more room to breathe in the park, there were still lines for the more popular attractions and food. People haven’t kicked the caffeine craving and the line for Main Street Bakery ran around to the side street on Main Street, U.S.A.

And, Tomorrowland is just a situation at this point. Disney is repaving the area near the Speedway currently and it just feels like poor timing when you think about the crowds that spring break tends to draw. The line for the ride loops around in what used to be extra walking space so now there’s half the amount of room PLUS even less because of the construction.

But, hey, we’ll take it for a Tuesday during spring break in Disney World! We’re pretty sure that Magic Kingdom won’t stay this way throughout the entirety of the busy week, but it was a nice reprieve!

Thursday

Cinderella Castle tends to be a spot where people tend to congregate. But this morning it mostly seemed like small groups who had plenty of space to social distance.

Walking into Fantasyland, though, created a bit of a chokepoint, which is pretty usual here.

And lines were long for some attractions. The Jungle Cruise line at the beginning of the day was LLOOOONNNGG.

the line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had almost completely looped around itself!

EPCOT

Monday

EPCOT wasn’t popping in Future World. Talk about space to walk!

And while there was a line by Spaceship Earth, the congestion wasn’t too bad otherwise.

But as usual, we found everyone chillin’ in the Mexico Pavilion in the World Showcase! This narrow walkway tends to pack people tightly together as it funnels everyone through.

We’ll keep you posted as we see how EPCOT’s crowds shift throughout the week!

Wednesday

We returned to EPCOT on Wednesday to find another at-capacity day! The crowds were a little weird though.

At times, we noticed lines that we’d expect to see on a busy day, like the one for Yorkshire County Fish Shop.

But in other areas, we’d find ourselves with no one around or shorter than expected lines.

It seems that EPCOT was having some of the ebb and flow crowd patterns too. As a note, we were in EPCOT PRIOR to the start of park hopping.

Thursday

Thursday seemed to bring some crowds to Spaceship Earth — the wait time as posted at 50 minutes!

By comparison, World Showcase felt a little less busy. There were groups of people around, but it didn’t feel SUPER crowded.

At this point, EPCOT doesn’t feel that crowded at all.

This doesn’t mean that we don’t run into areas that are chokepoints for people, but all in all, it doesn’t feel too bad!

We’ll be in the parks the rest of the week, and we’ll update this post with all the latest details on the crowds! We’re expecting the next few days to be BUSY in Disney World — all 4 parks are at capacity every single day!
