Finally! Another Disney World Value resort hotel has reopened! 

Today marks the official reopening of Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, taking us one more step towards a fully reopened Disney World. Let’s head inside to see what changes have been made in terms of health and safety, and more!

Lobby

Our first stop when we got to All-Star Movies Resort this morning was, of course, the lobby! Where better to start your Disney resort visit? Mostly, this bright area looks about the same as it did when we last saw it a year ago.

We noticed signage up to encourage guests to use the Online Check-In feature. Once checked in online or through the My Disney Experience app, guests can head straight to their room with the use of a MagicBand or an activated Digital Key. No need to stop at the Front Desk!

If you DO need to stop and speak to a Front Desk Cast Member, you’ll notice plexiglass and social distancing markers to keep them and you safe.

We also noticed a BIG poster for Raya and the Last Dragon! That might be a good spot for a photo!

Dining at World Premiere Food Court

Next, we headed over to World Premiere Food Court! This is the main dining location at All Star Movies and is a quick-service restaurant. As is true for many Disney World quick-service options right now, the spot is Mobile Order only. If you need to use cash or have a specific allergy concern, speak to a Cast Member and they will help you.

You Mobile Order through the My Disney Experience app, tap “I’m Here,” and wait for your order to be ready. Then, proceed inside to the designated pick-up table.

One fun surprise this morning is that the Cast Members have new costumes that feature these ADORABLE movie aprons.

The dining area in this restaurant is large and all of the tables were socially distanced.

Booths had plexiglass separating them as well.

We snagged a seat and enjoyed our HUGE breakfast portion!

Shopping at Donald’s Double Feature

The merchandise spot at All-Star Movies is called Donald’s Double Feature and is pretty similar to other merchandise locations around the Disney World resorts.

This spot also looks pretty similar to the way it did before the closure.

But there are some added markers on the floor for social distancing in lines and at the register.

Bonus! We spotted some sweet Easter Baskets for sale.

Outdoor and Pool Areas

Recreation was posted as usual and we spotted that Movies Under the Stars are running, just like at the other resorts.

We arrived before Fantasia Pool opened, but we noticed health and safety signage and that the pool chairs are distanced into groups of two to four.

At other Disney pools, signage and Cast Members have asked guests not to move the chairs.

The Silver Screen Spirits Pool Bar was closed, but only because we were there so early.

But there were distancing markers and mask signs for when it is open.

Over at the Mighty Ducks Pool, we noticed similar health signage.

And the chairs were distanced here as well.

All-Star Movies has the fun benefit of The Reel Spot where guests can come to watch movies on some evenings. Seating was distanced with chairs grouped for different parties.

Health signage is located around the resort elsewhere too, including in the halls…

…and in general paths.

A few kid-geared offerings remain closed including the arcade and the playground.

And that’s a wrap on the reopening for All-Star Movies Resort! Like the other reopened Disney World hotels, it was still the same as before, just with a few health and safety updates!
