At the beginning of the year, Disneyland announced that they would be discontinuing the Annual Passholder program and replacing it with something new.
Disney has not yet shared what that “something new” is (though we’ve got some ideas), and in the meantime has transitioned everyone who had an active pass to the Disneyland Legacy Passholder program. And, the program still comes with perks in the form of discounts on food and merchandise. In order to use the discounts, Legacy Passholders must have their tickets linked with the Disneyland app and, today, Disney sent out more information on how to do this.
On March 16th the Disneyland app was updated with a digital discount ticket for Legacy Passholders. This digital code is unique to each passholder and provides discounts on food or merchandise, when placing mobile orders, and when using the mobile merchandise checkout system. If you’re headed to Downtown Disney, A Touch of Disney (the ticketed event in Disney California Adventure), or just planning for your return to Disneyland on April 30th, you’ll want to double-check that the app has updated with that code before you go!
And, if you find that it didn’t automatically update, Disneyland sent out an email to Legacy Passholders with instructions on how to manually add the pass to your account.
According to the email, those who have previously linked the legacy pass to the Disney account through the Disneyland app should already have that discount code. To check that it updated correctly, open up the Disneyland app and select “Tickets and Passes.” If it worked correctly, you should see the discount code pop up and you are good to do all the food and merchandise shopping you please!
If you don’t see the discount code, be sure that you have the Disneyland app downloaded to your mobile device. Then open the app and tap the menu located on the bottom of your screen. Select “Tickets and Passes” and sign in or create your Disney account. After you’ve done that, select “Link Tickets and Passes” and enter your personal discount code that can be found in the email that Disneyland sent on March 24th. And, after that, you’re all set!
Keep in mind that you’ll want to complete these steps before heading to Disneyland Resort and have your Annual Passport and Valid Photo ID with you. You’ll need all three to use your discount. And, of course, if you’re having any issues, you can contact Passholder Member Services for help.
Currently, the discounts for Legacy Passholders will expire on April 30th, but that date will be automatically extended until the new membership offerings are announced by Disney.
The discounts include up to 20% off select merchandise at Disneyland Resort theme parks, and up to 15% off dining throughout Disneyland Resort. So, you can enjoy food and merchandise discounts for a limited time, depending on your passport type! We will continue to keep track of the Legacy Passholder discounts and changes so stay tuned to DFB for the latest!

I never got this email. I called Passholder Member Services and after two hours on hold my phone died. I used the CHAT feature on the app and they told me it may take up to 72 hours for a Cast Member to respond.
