You’re on ISLAND TIME at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort! With its centralized location and relaxing island vibe, this Resort sets a calypso tone for a vacation within a vacation!
Walt Disney World offers three Resort hotel levels: Value, Moderate, and Deluxe. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is a Moderate Resort.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach is a sprawling resort with lush tropical landscaping, a colorful theme, and a variety of recreational activities. The centerpiece of the resort, Barefoot Bay, is a 45-acre lake surrounded by a mile-long promenade dotted with running trails, relaxing hammocks and beach chairs, and small white sandy beaches. Guests also have access to Disney’s newest transportation, the Disney Skyliner, for which Caribbean Beach serves as the hub!

Let’s explore the islands!
Atmosphere
The spirit of the Caribbean is alive and thriving at Old Port Royale, the Resort’s main building. This “port of entry” is where guests check in, and serves as the hub for most dining and shopping options.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has a special feature that no other Disney resort can claim – its very own island, Caribbean Cay.
On this tropical oasis, you’ll discover picnic tables, hammocks, play areas, covered swings and walking paths.
Guest rooms are nestled into five villages that are situated around the shores of the Barefoot Bay. The villages are named after Caribbean islands — Trinidad, Barbados, Martinique, Aruba, and Jamaica.
Colorful, tropical, whimsical… all of the ingredients are here for your Caribbean vacation in the heart of Florida!
Dining
Counter Service Dining
You’ll find Centertown Market in Old Port Royale.
Counter service classics (from a morning Bounty Platter to burgers, pizza, and sandwiches) are served up for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner from a variety of food stations. You’ll find that Island-inspired dishes abound, as well!
Centertown Market Grab & Go provides quick bites for those ready to make their way to the parks, toot suite!
And guests will find Spyglass Grill near the Trinidad pool area, providing “American fare with a Caribbean twist” at a casual walk-up window.
Next, we’ll turn our attention from quick bites to Table Service dining.
Table Service Dining
Sebastian’s Bistro delivers waterfront Table Service dining to guests at Caribbean Beach Resort!
Latin and Caribbean flavors are infused into dishes for both landlubbers and seafood fans, all served up in a bright and airy setting.
Bar and Lounge
Banana Cabana is definitely more-than-your-average pool bar!
The menu boasts several signature cocktails and a robust appetizer menu. Enjoy your selections while you take in the unique setting which features cool accents like steel drums on the ceiling and even swing seats!
Coffee Kiosk
Caribbean Beach Resort serves as the hub for the Disney Skyliner gondola system. And while we’ll be taking a closer look at this truly unique form of transportation a bit later on this page, here in our Dining section we’re directing your attention to the Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea kiosk located at the Skyliner station!
It’s a convenient spot to grab your morning cup o’ joe — or perhaps a specialty Toffee Flight Latte — before boarding the Skyliner to visit your first park of the day!

Shopping
Of course, you’ll want to grab a souvenir (or ten 😉 ) to remember your Walt Disney World trip, so stop by the Calypso Trading Post in Old Port Royale.
You’ll find popular items from around Disney World and even some Resort-specific pieces to remember your Caribbean Beach Resort stay.
Forget to pickup a postcard for the relatives?
Don’t worry… you can partake in a Caribbean Beach Resort tradition by sending a COCONUT by mail found at the Calypso Trading Post!
Guest Rooms
Five distinct villages are situated around the shores of the Barefoot Bay. The villages are named after Caribbean islands — Trinidad, Barbados, Martinique, Aruba, and Jamaica, and these colorful quarters are where the Guest Rooms are located.
Standard and Preferred Rooms feature two Queen beds, a King bed, or two Queen beds and a child-size pull down bed, and can accommodate up to five guests depending on the bedding options.
Bright and breezy corals, blues, and rattan accents provide an Island vibe.
A large TV is mounted on the wall above a cabinet which offers several drawers and is topped with a small coffeemaker with a stash of Joffrey’s Coffee packets, tea, and an ice bucket.
In the center you’ll find a mini fridge. Note that there is no freezer section in the mini fridge, but you can certainly chill some drinks or late-night snacks.
A dark carved headboard and a colorful light fixture are placed above the bed.
You can appreciate the intricate lighting design with a closer look.
Each room is equipped with a standard Disney room phone with direct access to everything you could need while there. (Don’t forget to set a wakeup call from Mickey!)
While the room has something of a minimalist look overall, you can still spot some artwork with a colorful picture of a Caribbean island. Below sits a small bench where you can set up your suitcase.
A vanity area with a double sink counter also presents a bit of shelving beneath. You can close the wooden bathroom dividers behind you (for some privacy away from the kiddos) before getting yourself ready for the day or night!
You can use some of the H20 products available…
…iron out your outfits for the week…
…and hang up any clothes or jackets!
The shower (with tub) and toilet are separated from the sink area so multiple people may get ready at once. There is also a full-length mirror on the door.
The shower also features a tub.
And reusable, refillable shampoo, conditioner, and body wash canisters are available for use.

Be aware that some of the rooms in the Trinidad area have received a makeover!
The new rooms have subtle nods to “characters from under the sea,” … that’s The Little Mermaid! These rooms are equipped with a 5th sleeper to accommodate more guests.
Again, this makeover is specific to rooms located in the Trinidad section.

Amenities and Activities
This resort boasts six quiet pools, plus a main feature pool that many consider one of the best in Disney World. A Spanish citadel architecture features water cannons, zero-depth entry, and a little kids’ shipwreck play area where a barrel periodically dumps a deluge of water.
Older kids can climb a spiral staircase to the top of a turret for an 82-foot trip down the larger slide and through the fortress wall!
For more recreation, a Jogging Trail leads guests on a 0.6-mile route around Barefoot Bay, and kiddos can enjoy the playground.
The Front Desk will provide you with information about current Resort Activities which may include options like Movies Under the Stars, Evening Campfires, Pool Parties, and additional activities (with some available for a nominal fee) such as Arts and Crafts that you can take home. You will also see signs alerting to the day’s and week’s activities around the Resort so you don’t miss any of the fun!
A sand Volleyball court is also available with equipment for rent at the Marina. Relax with some catch-and-release Fishing on a guided 2- or 4-hour excursion for up to 3 guests. (More information and booking options are available by calling 407-939-FISH or 407-939-3474). Bike rentals provide more options for outdoor activity.
