It seems like the pools are the place to be in Disney World right now!
Sure, the parks are popular and all, but what better way to cool off on a hot day than taking a dip in your resort pool? At least, that seemed to be a lot of people’s logic today! Blizzard Beach hit capacity, and when we passed by Stormalong Bay on our way to our Beaches and Cream fix (yum), we noticed a LONG line.
If you want to visit Stormalong Bay today, you’d better be prepared to wait for it! Now, pool capacity has been limited since the resorts’ reopening, but this hasn’t appeared to be too much of a problem in the past. That is…until now. Stormalong Bay is not currently offering a waitlist, which means you WILL have to wait in this line if you want to swim.
Once you get to the front of the line, you’ll tell the Cast Member how many are in your party. If there’s space for you, you’ll be able to head in! If not, you’ll wait until others have left to clear space for you. This is similar to how Disney’s been monitoring capacity in their stores, so no surprise on the method here…but boy is that line long.
With the heat and crowds both on the way, we’re anticipating this kind of line may become more common. Good luck if you’re in the mood for some pool time! We’ll keep ya posted with the latest Disney news, so stay tuned to DFB.

If Epcot is at 35% capacity, why would there be a 2.5 hour line to get into the Mexican pavilion?

Insanity. I can’t believe people are paying FULL PRICE for this experience.
