We’ve been following the progress of the EPCOT transformation for a while now! That includes the new lighting being attached to Spaceship Earth, the front entrance’s DRAMATIC makeover, and the new fountain that still makes us “ooh” and “ahh.”
Harmonious Center Barge Testing
We’ve also been following the construction progress of EPCOT’s upcoming nighttime show, Harmonious. All the barges and the giant ring are in place, but when exactly will the show debut?
That’s hard to say — at the moment, no nighttime shows are happening at Disney World, but that could change! And wouldn’t it be nice if we get some nice nighttime entertainment in time for Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebration, which begins in October?

So will that actually happen? We don’t know! So, we asked YOU, our readers, what you thought. And it seems that many of you are thinking positively about a new nighttime show happening at Disney World this year. Over 80% of you believe that Harmonious will debut in time for the 50th anniversary.

I thought they could have kept EPCOT Forever going – with the limited park attendance and the size of the show venue with several areas all around the World Showcase providing for safe spacing options. And could have put in place markers for spacing.
However from what I’m hearing about the viewing angles of Harmonious, a good spot is going to be hard and now you add the need for spacing, Disney has their work cut out for them.
But they need to bring things back or I have considered canceling my AP. I held out cancelling to allow them time to see how they could work things out, but I don’t see much value if no evening shows are available.
I hope Disney Parks is listening if there is no fire works for the 50 Anniversary it would not be so special to people that want to go and enjoy the celebration . I hope I get to go it is going to be over 1 year special event . I went to the park s the year of The Million Dreams Celebration it was really 2 years they extended . My family and I had 2 great years it was so fun . That was the celebration I will always remember .
