Disney Cast Members are the real magic makers when it comes to the parks, as they help everything run smoothly with happy hearts.
Recently, Disney World’s Cast Members have received a few perks with FREE resort stays and even a store to benefit employees! And now you can become a part of the awesome team that brings magic to kids, families, and everyone visiting!
Disney World has announced that they will be opening up additional applications to more Cast Members in the Attractions, Custodial, Merchandise, and Quick-Service Foods Departments in both the parks and resorts. Thanks to @schreiberjoe on Instagram for the heads up!
The Attractions Cast Members will be trained in how to load and unload attractions, operate ride systems, and provide directions and traffic control to large amounts of guests in various forms of weather. The Custodial Cast Members, though, will also provide Guest Services by answering questions and providing directions on top of cleaning and maintenance responsibilities.
On the other hand, Merchandise Cast Members will operate a point-of-sale system, cash handling, stocking and inventory, and some light cleaning. Quick-Service Foods Cast Members will be indoor or outdoors to take orders, handle cash, prepare food, stock condiments, and clean the workspace in a fast-paced environment.
Cast Members also have additional responsibilities when it comes to climbing stairs, ride safety and food safety standards, heavy machinery operations, and the understanding of Disney Products and menu offerings.
They will also engage with guests, handle cleaning supplies, use a SmartPhone device for assignments and work orders, take leadership during emergency situations, help with crowd control, and wear Personal Protective Equipment.
Applicants must be 18 years or older to become a Disney Cast Member. If accepted, employees are required to work with full availability for any shift at a minimum of 3 days per week (including nights and holidays) for part-time. Pay rates start at $14 an hour, depending on the role. The full list of requirements and job applications are available here, so you can find everything you need to know! Are they giving the opportunity of furloughed CM to gain those job positions before the rest of the public? I think it’s only fair since the furloughed CM didn’t leave because they wanted to
Mr . JOHN says
Disney needs to bring back fur- loughed cast members back before giving anyone a job . This is a cheaper way to save money $14.00 or less to what $6-8.00 .. Hire for$8.00 so you do not not have to give anyone $14.00 is at then top rate . Disney is a company looking out for themselves be a shame .

I wants to become a cast member, how can be?
Kathy says
Am seriously interested in merchandising, will you be posting opportunities for that? Have been looking for quite some time and haven’t seen any of those job opportunities.
DFB Sarah says
Kathy, you’ll want to reach out to Disney directly about their career opportunities. Unfortunately I don’t see a phone number or email address for Disney Jobs. Maybe you can reach them via social media. Good luck!
