Nothing complements a day by the pool like a refreshing drink or cocktail, and luckily at Disney World, there’s no shortage of Pool Bars!
Today we popped over to the Drop Off Pool Bar over at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, which has really stepped up its cocktail game lately, and we were happy to find a new drink on the menu!
The Drop Off has introduced a few new drinks this month, including the Fish Tank, and the Tipsy Rabbit (a boozy Easter shake). Today, we saw they had also added the Cherry Blossom to the lineup!
The Cherry Blossom is a cocktail made with New Amsterdam Gin, Pom Pomegranate Juice, House Made Lime Juice, and finished with a splash of Grenadine. It’s topped off with an edible flower! The drink was listed on the menu for $14.
We LOVED this drink. It was fresh and light, with a good ratio of Gin compared to the other ingredients, and all of the flavors balanced really well together. It’s also a really pretty drink, especially with the flower on top!
The lime juice was super fresh and had a great tartness that paired well with the pomegranate juice. It’s a fruity cocktail for sure, but so refreshing! The sweet Cast Member gave us another flower to top our drink with. We can’t decide if we like the purple or orange more!
This was a GREAT pool cocktail, and we would totally sip on this one again while sitting out on a resort day.
While we really enjoyed it, lime and pomegranate are the main flavors, so if those aren’t your jam, this may not be the drink for you. However, fruity drink lovers will likely be a huge fan of the Cherry Blossom — light, fresh, and not too sweet. Perfect for a sunny day. You can try it yourself at the Drop Off Pool Bar for $14!

Deanna (one of my favorite WDW bartenders) made a cherry blossom for me last week and it was outstanding. She apologized for the flowers not being up to snuff – they were tired, but it was FINE. Didn’t negatively affect the drink at all.
Great drink!
