We might be biased, but we would argue that Disney World hotels are some of our favorite hotels across the whole world! Not only do they offer a variety of themes and locations, but with the three categories — Value, Moderate, and Deluxe — they offer something to guests with a variety of budgets.
But there’s something else to consider when you’re booking that hotel room — what about the view? Now for some, the view isn’t that important, but if you’re like us and like to spend a little time at the hotel you’re staying at, you’ll want to book a hotel that has something nice to look at, right?
So we went on Instagram and asked you, our readers, which hotels have the best view. And some of your answers surprised us! So let’s take a peek at YOUR favorites!
Disney’s Contemporary Hotel
Your number one choice for best view hands down was the Contemporary, which surprised us because well, right now the view (from the inside at least!) isn’t that great because the hotel is going through a refurbishment.
But we get it — this hotel is close to the Magic Kingdom where you can watch the fireworks at night and that’s a pretty big deal.
You can get theme park view rooms in the main tower, which allows you some of the best views of Magic Kingdom OUTSIDE of Magic Kingdom. Plus, California Grill also offers some amazing views, so it makes sense that so many of you think this hotel offers the best view in all of Disney World. Bonus? You can walk to Magic Kingdom from here. Just keep in mind many rooms without a theme park or water view will give you a pretty average viewing experience!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
We’re actually surprised that the Polynesian Hotel came in second and not first because it’s one of the most popular of the deluxe hotels at Disney World! And its views are STUNNING.
Not only does the resort make you feel like you’re really in the South Seas, but it also sits right next to the gorgeous Seven Seas Lagoon, where guests can watch the Electrical Water Pageant parade at night!
And if that wasn’t enough, you can also see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom here (and we like to do this by planning our dinners at ‘Ohana just in time for the nighttime shows!). Guests can also chill on the beach where music is piped in so they can admire the fireworks from afar!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Animal Kingdom Lodge offers a great authentic African experience, without the super long flight of actually having to TRAVEL to Africa. This is the ONLY resort at Disney World set on a large savanna where you can see animals from nearly everywhere throughout the resort.
And if you book a Savannah-view room, you’ll get to wake up every morning, walk out onto your balcony, and see giraffes, elk, and other unique wildlife with your morning cup of coffee.
Can’t afford the upcharge for a Savanna Room? Here’s our tip — request a partial savanna view room after you book your standard room. More often than not, Disney will do its best to accommodate your request. And you’ll still get a great view because partial just means there are some buildings in the view, too (but you’ll still see a TON of animals). This isn’t a guarantee but you might luck out with a nice view for less!
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is Disney World’s flagship resort for a reason. It has amenities galore, a breathtaking lobby, and impeccably manicured grounds that are just compelling you to meander and explore! Sure, it’s expensive, but if you’re looking for an elegant stay that is a stroll away from the Magic Kingdom, this resort delivers.
But even better? You can see the Magic Kingdom fireworks from almost everywhere facing the water here — on the grounds, in many of the restaurants, and possibly even your room.
And if you’re looking for a stroll with a view, there’s a brand new walkway that will let you take a leisurely stroll to and from the Magic Kingdom!

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Wilderness Lodge takes its inspiration from America’s National Parks, so we were not that surprised when our readers told us that it has one of the best views on property. This resort is LUSH and some of the standard rooms have views of the Magic Kingdom!
But the Nature View rooms are also amazing, especially if you’re a lover of the Great Outdoors — we’re talking gorgeous forests and stunning waterfalls here!
And many of the Courtyard Rooms overlook Bay Lake — and if you’ve never watched the sunrise over Bay Lake, you’re in for a treat.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
It’s interesting that the only EPCOT-area resort that made our readers’ list is Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. Perhaps it’s the fact that the hotel sits on a turn-of-the-century style boardwalk overlooking Crescent Lake (and it is certainly a nice view).
And that Boardwalk COMES ALIVE with carnival games, dance halls, restaurants, bars, and more! Just note that only select rooms offer views of the BoardWalk. But still, the grounds here are absolutely lovely and many garden view rooms have fantastic views.
But mostly, we just think our readers love the view of the lake and the BoardWalk itself. The area is a joy to walk around, and you can easily get to the Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin and Yacht and Beach Club resorts, too — not to mention Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT!

Disney’s Riviera Resort
Our readers also love the views from Disney’s newest resort, the Riviera! This hotel is LUXE with a capital “L,” and when it comes to views, its rooftop restaurant, Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera, is hard to beat!
Once you step into its glistening lobby, you get a view of the lake beyond. It really does feel like you’re visiting a luxury hotel on the French Riviera but…you know…in swampy Florida.😂
But maybe it made this list because guests love the beautiful mosaic murals in the walkway tunnel. And those alone make for a great view, even if they are technically inside the hotel!
Either way, many rooms in this hotel sport endless views of the surrounding area, including Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and more.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Although most of you prefer the views at the Deluxe Hotels, some of you voted for this moderate resort. And although we often see complaints from guests about how massive Caribbean Beach is, our readers still like the views.
And it’s true — this hotel makes you feel like you’re on a tropical island with its vibrant buildings and lush landscaping — this is a gorgeous resort!
This is where you want to go and lie in a hammock (which are readily available) on a “beach” and just let life pass you by. So it totally makes sense that this moderate resort makes your “best views” list!
Here’s Why People HATE These Disney World Hotels
Each Disney resort has its own charm, style, and story. No two are exactly alike, and that goes for their views, too! So whether you want to gaze out at a tropical paradise, the wonder of a magical kingdom, or an exotic African savanna, Disney has a view just for you!
