UPDATED November 8, 2024
Welcome to the “Hollywood that never was — and always will be.” It’s Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened on May 1, 1989 as Disney-MGM Studios. The words of Michael Eisner’s opening day speech can still be read on a dedication plaque in the park: “The World you have entered was created by the Walt Disney Company and is dedicated to Hollywood — not a place on the map, but a state of mind that exists wherever people dream and wonder and imagine, a place where illusion and reality are fused by technological magic. We welcome you to a Hollywood that never was — and always will be.”
We’ve got TIPS on planning your BEST DAY in Disney’s Hollywood Studios HERE!
Attractions
Hollywood Boulevard
Hollywood Boulevard is your entryway into Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Toy Story Land
Toy Story Land opened on June 30, 2018. All of us guests “shrink” to the size of toys as we’re surrounded by friends and familiar sights from the Toy Story movies (and possibly from our own childhoods) as we play in Andy’s backyard!
When Toy Story Land opened, it delivered two new attractions in addition to one of the park’s already-existing headliner attractions, Toy Story Mania. So get ready to swirl with some of the Little Green Men on Alien Swirling Saucers, and zip around on Slinky Dog Dash — a family-friendly roller coaster!

Entertainment
Guests can see all of their favorites from Beauty and the Beast, including Belle, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Chip, and Mrs. Potts, performing beloved songs from the film during Beauty and the Beast — Live on Stage!
Oh, and Gaston makes a BIG appearance, too, of course. 😉 Performances take place several times throughout the day in the Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard.
The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular opened in what is now Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 1989, and the show gives you a behind-the-scenes look at film stunts and action scenes inspired by Raiders of the Lost Ark.
You get to sit back and watch a talented cast of stunt artists complete exciting (and dangerous!) stunt work, and they also explain HOW they do it!
Also at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration takes the beloved characters and story to a whole new level, where YOU (and any little Annas, Elsas, and Kristoffs) can join in the show by singing along!
P.S. If by some chance you don’t happen to know all the words to “Let It Go,” 😉 , they appear on a screen for you to join in!
ATTENTION!!
You can enjoy performances by the Green Army Drum Corps in Toy Story Land!
Celebrate 90 years of Disney and Pixar animation with an evening viewing of the Wonderful World of Animation (shown seasonally)! Projections of memorable scenes from Disney films are presented on the replica of the Chinese Theater (home to Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway), accompanied by those classic Disney songs.
You’ll see characters and scenes from films including — but not limited to — Sleeping Beauty, Coco, Frozen, Encanto, and more!
Check My Disney Experience or the Times Guide in the park map for showtimes during your trip so you don’t miss a thing!

Party with the Playhouse Disney Characters during breakfast as you chow down on some great food at the Disney Junior Play ‘n Dine Breakfast!
Though characters may vary, Fancy Nancy, Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and Roadster Goofy are often your hosts for this high-energy start to the day!
Lunch and Dinner at Hollywood & Vine is also a character meal; however, these mealtimes feature Minnie’s Seasonal Dine!
Minnie Mouse is the hostess for various “dinner parties” throughout the year, and she’s often joined by Mickey, Goofy and Pluto!

A beach party scene is set for the year’s Summertime Dine followed by fall’s Halloween Dine and the holiday season’s Holiday Dine wraps up the year!
