As the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccine distribution continues to develop, we’ve seen a number of changes made.
Recently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention relaxed outdoor mask guidelines, and the CDC has released new instructions for the return to cruising. Now, another update regarding the CDC’s mask guidance is reportedly on the way.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have eased mask-wearing guidance for those who are fully vaccinated, allowing them to “resume activities that you did prior to the pandemic.”
The actual guidelines are below or can be seen in full here.
The CDC’s updated guidance also notes that it is no longer recommend that fully vaccinated people wear masks outdoors in crowds. It is now also considered safe by the CDC for vaccinated people to be indoors without a mask at smaller gatherings, church, movie theaters, restaurants, and more. Note that any mask requirements set by individual establishments should still be respected though.
Keep in mind that the CDC considers individuals to be “fully vaccinated” 2 weeks after their last required COVID-19 vaccination dose.
Note that Disney World still requires all guests, including those who are fully vaccinated, to wear masks in the parks except when they are specifically allowed to be removed such as when actively eating and drinking while socially distanced and stationary, while swimming, temporarily while taking an outdoor photo, or while at a Mask-Free Relaxation Station.
We’ll continue to look for more updates and let you know what we find.

It’s official! No more masks and social distancing (inside or outside) for fully vaccinated people! Small caveat for certain situations and places like traveling by bus, train, or plane and hospitals, prisons, etc.
Here’s to hoping the fireworks return faster than we anticipate! The only downside is the smaller crowds are most likely going away by our next visit in August!

Wonder what the CDC will do when people fully come down with symptoms or illnesses they would never normally have had because they were fully vaccinated.

It is to early to find out if it is a good idea . I see more people wearing than not wearing . Disney folded more customers and more money hoping more people will go to there parks . If I was going to disney I still would wear the mask . I am 60 I do not want to get sick . If your younger it is your choice and have no medical problems .
