Disney’s MagicBands are a fun way to navigate the parks! At the beginning of 2021, they stopped being free for guests with reservations, and will no longer be free for Annual Passholders in a few months.
Despite not being free anymore, Disney is still churning out more and more fun designs and colors to spice up your trip! In fact, they have just dropped another one, and it’s sparkly!
Disney just released some new MagicBands a couple of months ago, including some sparkly ones. Now, there’s even more glitter to add to the collection! Previous glittery MagicBands have come in pink and silver, so if you prefer something a little darker, and maybe even a little classier, this might be for you!
It’s mesmerizing! This MagicBand goes for $29.99, but if you are an Annual Passholder or a Resort Guest, you can get it at a discount for $15! You can find this in your MyDisneyExperience account. If you are looking for a sleek-but-sparkly souvenir or accessory, you might want to add this to your cart!

We will be going to DisneyWorld for the first time in February. We’ve been on Disney cruises and DisneyLand and we aren’t familiar with the MagicBands. Will we need them? And what are they used for?
DFB Sarah says
Margaret, here is our page explaining the uses of MagicBands. As for whether you’ll need them or not, most guests who use them find them to be incredibly convenient. You tap them to touchpoints to pay for food or merchandise, to use a scheduled FastPass (when they’re in use), and to get into the Parks. But with MagicMobile, you can do all of that with your phone and/or a smartwatch. Click here to read about MagicMobile.
