This year is Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, which means lots of big changes are coming to the Disney Parks, especially EPCOT!

This year, Disney’s EPCOT is getting new rides like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, new restaurants like Space 220, and new shops like the revamped Club Cool. On top of all these new additions, EPCOT is also receiving a new flagship store: the Creations Shop!
Recently, Imagineer Zach Riddley gave us all another sneak peek into the new shop (sorta) via Instagram. Previously, he had revealed some details about the new shop’s architecture, but this time he’s showing something a little different.

Now, flooring might not seem like the most exciting topic, as we often take it for granite (please forgive my puns). And it means that progress is really happening on the new Creations Shop that will replace Mouse Gear in Disney World.

And these tiles are seriously cool! 3D printed and inspired by the shapes and colors of EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth and Future World, the new tiles use the latest technology and feature five unique designs. The main accent color for the store, golden yellow, is inspired by Mickey Mouse’s iconic shoes!

Not only are these tiles innovative and full of fun details, but they’re also environmentally friendly. Made with biodegradable materials, these tiles are sustainable and beautiful! Not only did Zach Riddley give us a close look at these tiles, but he also gave us a first look at the inside of the shop, where the floor had just been installed.

As exciting as new flooring might be, we’re even more excited to check out the Creations Shop when it opens in EPCOT this summer!

I am so excited for the future of Walt Disney World! I love how all the new changes are going to make it more immersive and less commercialized. These changes will help bring people together, which is something that we need right now. Keep up with these great updates!
sorry but they don’t get pats on this back for this mess, they destroyed the park especially one person in particular who sits in his california office to come up with this stuff, and knows nothing about epcot, and then has the audacity to put out old original concept art as if its something new when its not, and try to spin it to make up for the mess made with no cohesive vision. Not buying it, and its nothing but shameful that its been allowed to happen. Things are desperate when they have to make up excuses for a couple of floor tiles and they have nothing more to show for it.
