We’ve made a few visits to Disney World’s WILDEST park over the last week!
Any day can be a good day to stroll through Disney’s Animal Kingdom! We’re bringing you the latest news from our recent visits including updates in food, construction, and merchandise!
Animal Kingdom Food Updates
Creature Comforts and Restaurantosaurus
Creature Comforts and Restaurantosaurus had a Father’s Day Cupcake for $5.99. This cupcake is made with vanilla cake, caramel frosting, and chocolate chip cookie dough filling.
It probably won’t be around for long past Father’s Day, so hurry if you’d like to try it!

Zuri’s Sweet Shop
There’s a Rainbow Rice Krispy Treat at Zuri’s Sweet Shop to celebrate Pride Month!
This tasty treat full of classic flavors is available for $5.49. Plus, you can’t beat that fun appearance! The Rainbow Cupcake is also back at this location.

Harambe Fruit Market
Simba Pretzels were available at Harambe Fruit Market! This spot fluctuates between Simba and Mickey Pretzels.
Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery
On previous visits, there have been tables outside of Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery, but we noticed the tables had been removed this past week.
Tusker House
Tusker House is set to reopen on June 20th and we saw some preparations in progress! There were social distancing stickers out front and we could hear some Cast Members inside.
Tamu Tamu Refreshments
Though it’s not new, we did snag a Chocolate Twist from Tamu Tamu Refreshments.
This pastry is a great alternate option to the Cheshire Cat Tail and the Tiger Tail — and it’s much cheaper!

Animal Kingdom Construction Updates
Various Locations
Things were back up and running relatively quickly but it was still an interesting interruption!

We also spotted that the digital signs in the park were now sporting a message about current face mask requirements. Masks must be worn at all times indoors and on attractions.
Dinoland, U.S.A.
Dinosaur has had some updates! Plexiglass has been removed from the ride vehicles and they are now seating every row. Our reporter was seated with a party of two, with one seat between the two parties.
Asia
We’re not totally sure, but it looked like the Vista of the Himalayas sign had a fresh paint job.
Disney has also updated the rules for outdoor theatres as we spotted in Feathered Friends in Flight, the current show in Animal Kingdom’s Asia.
Guests can now remove their masks in outdoor theatres.

Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Discovery Trading Company

If you need us, we’ll be wearing this hat while we look for our happily ever after.
