Spooky season is HERE in Disney World!
Disney World kicks off the Halloween season in August, so you get to start celebrating a little bit earlier than in most places (which we LOVE). There are yummy pumpkin treats, festive decorations, and characters in their adorable costumes! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom was canceled this year, and instead, the after hours event BOO Bash has taken its place. Tickets went on sale to the public back in June, and we have an update about availability!
Previously, tickets for September 12th were available for a while. Then, all tickets for September sold out. As of August 30th, tickets for September 12th appeared to be available again. Now, it looks like all tickets in September have again sold out.
The month of August has been sold out for a while now…
…and October is sold out as well! Halloween day actually sold out when tickets were only available to Disney hotel guests, not the general public.
Remember, this event is only 3-hours long and is a bit more expensive than Mickey’s Not-So-Scary has been previously. We will update this post and let you know if Disney restocks tickets for Boo Bash, as they have previously, so stay tuned to DFB!

Thoughts on which park to go to during the day of Boo Bash? We can’t decide whether to spend the day at Animal Kingdom before heading to the event, or spending a marathon day at Magic Kingdom.
DFB Sarah says
Mina, I guess it would depend on what you want to accomplish at the Boo Bash. If you think you want time to do event-specific things (whatever they may be), it might make sense to use the day for rides and attractions and the After Hours event for Halloween-specific experiences. On the other hand, AK can be a good park to enjoy in the daylight hours, and it would make your arrival at MK for the party a little more… definitive and maybe even a little more exciting. You really can’t go wrong either way!

We got tickets for Boo Bash for one of the nights that’s sold out. Do you know how many tickets per night they are selling? Curious on how many guests will be participating in the Halloween fun!
Chris says
We just got our Boo Bash tickets today. They shipped UPS, and come on a fastpass+ card. I didn’t know they were shipping them, I expected to get them via window pickup.

People are actually paying $169 for three hours in October? I guess as long as there are people who pay these ridiculous prices, Disney will be happy to take their money.
Chris says
Since attending the BOO Bash means staying up until 2am or so the next morning, I would think that a good plan of action is to have a relaxing late morning at the hotel pool followed by an early afternoon lunch at the Boathouse in Disney Springs. Don’t want to arrive at Magic Kingdom at 7pm dead tired.
DFB Sarah says
Chris, that’s a great plan for those who would require some rest before a late night (ahem, that might be me).
DFB Sarah says
Chris, thanks for sharing!
DFB Sarah says
Rachel, Disney hasn’t said how many tickets they sold per night. If that info is released at some point, we will report on it.
Taffyb says
Have you come up with Boo Bash attendance numbers now that it’s been on going for a month and sold out?
Thanks!
DFB Sarah says
Taffyb, we won’t know numbers unless Disney releases them, unfortunately.
