Lots of things have been changing at Disney World lately. Restaurants have reopened, hotels are undergoing refurbishment, restaurants are being reimagined, and more. But, some spots are still closed.
Grand Floridian
One restaurant that hasn’t reopened (yet) is Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. We shared last year that the restaurant would be undergoing a refurbishment and now we’ve got a BIG update on just how the restaurant has been reimagined and when it’ll be open again!
Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has been re-imagined into a restaurant inspired by Mary Poppins Returns and will soon be open for all guests to enjoy!
According to Disney, the restaurant now “pays homage to the whimsy and elegance of Mary Poppins Returns.” The restaurant takes cues from the movie’s animated sequence. Disney has shared that the dining room of Citricos now “brings guests into a fanciful garden setting where you can ‘trip a little light fantastic’ as you experience the restaurant surrounded by the glow from decorative lamps and chandeliers.”

Chef Andres Mendoza has crafted a NEW menu for Citricos. On this new menu you’ll find things like Sweet Corn Bisque with pickled fennel, popcorn, and fennel oil; Strawberry Salad with chamomile-infused goat cheese, frisée lettuce, bacon vinaigrette, and spiced sunflower seeds; and Butter-poached Florida Cobia. We’ll be sharing more details about the menu soon so keep an eye out for that!

Cítricos will open on July 15th. Reservations will become available on July 1st, so be sure to mark those calendars!

Citricos is at the top of my list for the Disney restaurant that never disappoints with amazing food and top-notch service. It is nice to see that the theme ties in with the resort well rather than trying to inject something that doesn’t fit. Considering there are Mary Poppins touches elsewhere through the resort, this decision brings me relief. Let’s just hope they leave the ratatouille on the menu because it is blow your mind good.

Mary Popping s is good to see her in a restaurant it is getting more normal . CPatricia is a really good expensive restaurant . I never got a chance to diner there maybe it is a chance to is Mary people will want to try it .
