While many Disney World staples are reopening and returning around the parks, there are still a few things that remain a mystery!
We know that Trail’s End Restaurant at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness is reopening, but we still haven’t heard anything about the beloved Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. There’s no word on if or when FastPass+ is coming back, and we’re still unsure if parades are returning, as it’s looking like cavalcades are here to stay for a while. One of the big things Disney hasn’t brought back yet is the Disney Dining Plan, but recently they announced that it WILL be returning! So, we wanted to remind you of a change to the plan that happened RIGHT before the closures that you may have forgotten about!
At the end of February 2020, Disney announced a new dining plan option for guests: the Disney Dining Plan Plus.
The plan’s main difference from the Quick Service and Standard Disney Dining Plans is that guests get two meals per night of stay and can dine at any combination of Quick Service and Table Service locations.
Table Service meals include one table service entrée, dessert (lunch and dinner only), OR full buffet (note that there are currently no buffets in Disney World). Quick Service meals include one quick service meal, including entrée OR combo meal.
Guests under 21 can also get one non-alcohol beverage with their meals and guests over 21 can either get one non-alcoholic beverage OR one single serving mixed cocktail, beer, or wine with their meal. You also get two snacks or non-alcoholic drinks per night of stay and one resort refillable drink mug per person, per package.
The cost of the plan before the closures was $94.61 per night for ages 10 and up and $35.01 per night for ages 3 to 9.
The Disney Dining Plan Plus is the most flexible plan because you can use the meals and snacks in any order you want and at any time.
Disney has not announced when the Disney Dining Plan will be returning or what plans will be offered, but we wanted to remind you of this plan since it was probably easy to forget amid all the news of the closures! As soon as we get more info on the return of the dining plan, we’ll let you know, so stay tuned to DFB!

Before also you would just get credits. Now they actually have kids and adults credits. I would pay for the kids plan but I was able to get reg meals. Not anymore.

we just got back from our Disney Trip and in lieu of the dining plan, we did $1000 in 2 gift cards for our family of 5(2 adults, and 9,6,5) it worked great! we were able to prepay for our food and worry less about running out of money, but also had a budget. in the At the end of our 5 days(we were going for 4 days, but my nephew got rained off of a ride and through guest relations at Springs was able to score 10 free passes to Animal Kingdom for our families)we had a little bit left that we spent on a couple of souvenirs. Oh, and we got our cards from BJs of course so we actually spent $960 for our $1000.
