Talk about ready to dig in! The 2021 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is here and we are SO ready for it!
As you know Mexico has typically been one of the booths that has made us want to come back for more. In the past, they have delivered on food AND drinks. We are excited to try EVERYTHING new they have to offer this year!
This year we expect more of the same…but that’s enough talking — let’s dig in!
Menu
This year both the Chilaquiles de Chorizo and Taco de Ribeye are new on the menu and the only returning drink on the menu is the Tulum Artisanal Lager. The other drinks on the menu are new additions!
Let’s get to eating and drinking!

Food
The first item in this fiesta is the Chilaquiles con Chorizo! This is a new item on the menu (although we’ve seen Chilaquiles at the Mexico booth, like these Chilaquiles de Pollo from the 2015 festival!). This dish includes Crispy Corn Tortillas tossed in Salsa Verde and Monterey Jack Cheese topped with Crema Mexicana, Queso Cotija, Pickled Onions, and Ground Chorizo.
The Chilaquiles reminded us of a taco casserole! WOW, this was delicious! It has a good kick from the Salsa Verde, so watch out if you’re not into a little bit of spice! The Salsa Verde was really tasty, and we would’ve loved a little more of it! This has to be one of our favorite snacks so far! These are $7 at the Mexico booth!
One down and the Taco de Ribeye up next! This is also new to the Mexico booth for Food and Wine, but it’s super similar to the Ribeye Taco from last year! This dish is comprised of Shaved Ribeye, Red Onions, and Poblano Peppers on a Corn Tortilla with Ranchera Salsa, Cotija Cheese, and Chives. The Poblano Peppers and Cotija Cheese are upgrades from the previous Ribeye Taco at this booth!
This taco was a super simple dish, but it was a darn good taco! The meat was delicious and tender, we loved the corn tortilla, and it wasn’t too spicy! Actually, it wasn’t really spicy at all, so if you’re not into very hot foods, we think this one is safe! The Taco de Ribeye was $7 as well!
Now that we knocked out all the savory dishes time to move on to dessert! We had the Capirotada de Chocolate when it was at the Food & Wine Festival in 2019!
This is an Abuelita Chocolate Bread Pudding served with a Chocolate Crème Anglaise. It’s $5.50 at the Mexico booth! The Mexico booth is STILL a winner on flavors when it comes to the snacks!

Let’s check out all the new drinks available this year!
Drinks
You know being in Mexico we had to get our drink on too! The Tulum Artisanal Lager was a returning item from last year’s festival!
This Mexican craft beer is crafted with Citrus notes and made with Mexican Caribbean Seawater. It’s $5 for 6oz and $9.50 for 12oz.
The first new drink on this year’s menu is the El Tigre Margarita and you KNOW we love a good marg. This one has Ojo de Tigre Mezcal with Pomegranate, Prickly Pear, Pineapple, and Ginger Juices and is served on the rocks with a Hibiscus Salt Rim.
The El Tigre Margarita is a love-it-or-hate-it drink! If you enjoy Mezcal and its smoky flavor, we think you’ll love this drink! Other people thought there was way too much Mezcal and it made it taste too smoky. You’ll probably want to skip this one if you’re not into Mezcal! It’s a sweet, smoky, and dry drink, so there’s a lot going on — we definitely can’t say it’s boring! You can try it for $11.50!
Next, we have another margarita, and are we mad that there are two on the menu? Absolutely not. This one is the La Clásica Reyes Margarita and includes Centinela Blanco Tequila, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur, Abasolo Corn Whiskey, Lime Juice, and Agave Nectar. It’s served on the rocks with a Chile Piquín Salt Rim.
In La Clásica Reyes Margarita, we could really taste the heat from the whiskey! We thought it was a cool twist on a normal Margarita. This is a great option if you don’t want to risk the controversial flavors of El Tigre Margarita! This Margarita is $11.
Last but certainly not least is the White Passion Fruit Sangria. This drink includes White Wine, Chinola Passion Fruit Liqueur, and a hint of Ilegal Mezcal.
The Sangria was very smooth and drinkable. The Mezcal hits you just a little bit at the end, but it doesn’t smack you right up front like with El Tigre Margarita! This one is $10.
Overall
Mexico booth — you’ve done it again! We LOVED all the snacks at this booth! And the drinks were super fun to try, with different but strong flavors! We’ll definitely be back to munch on more Chilaquiles and Tacos from this fiesta! Keep following the Disney Food Blog as we show you ALL there is to see at this year’s Food & Wine Festival!
