I love the Wilderness lodge, it was my first DVC membership…(I now have 3). It is truly a hidden gem in the Disney Crown of Deluxe resorts by taking you away from all of the fluff of the parks and places you squarely in a relaxing environment that you can truly enjoy. Dining is great, the location is great, (a short boat ride to the Contempo. and you are on the Monorail to Epcot or to one of the other 7 Seas Lagoon destinations. Or just a short walk to the Magic Kingdom if you need the exercise after taking a short lake launch ride from dock to doc. The only shortfall is that the Twin Forks quick service dining option no longer serves Chili…. chili was one of Walt’s favorite foods and Twin Forks was one of the only places that served Chili. Would like to see it back on the menu as a tribute to Walt.
I agree, absolutely love the WDL! However they do need to add an awesome water slide. The one they have is mediocre.

Absolutely!! We love this hotel. It’s Disney but laid back. Beautiful location and amazing food.
I have four stays at the Wilderness Lodge and loved every visit. It is a quiet place, elegant, and besides how many trips to the Transportation Station involve a very cool boat ride? 🙂 I love it there and very highly recommend it to anyone who tends to get moused out a bit. WL gives you a taste of Florida forest. BTW you can rent little boats to jet around the lake, or at least you could, and we went Parasailing above the lake. Excellent! -Jeff
