We don’t know about you, but all these restaurant and hotel reopenings at Disney World have got us really excited!
We can’t wait to revisit places like the Port Orleans Resorts and we were SO excited to finally eat again at ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. But today takes us to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, where Citricos has finally reopened!
Atmosphere
If you’ve been to Citricos in the past, you’ll notice that some things have changed — the restaurant’s theme is now inspired by Mary Poppins Returns.
With the new theming comes colorful furniture and all sorts of Mary Poppins easter eggs!
There is also a Sommelier Room in the back that’s set to start offering a five-course dining experience this Fall! The room is full of full little details including a picture of Cherry Tree Lane, upside-down umbrella chandeliers, and…
…Mary Poppins’ carpet bag and parrot umbrella!
After our table was ready, we headed over to the front of Citricos and were led to our table!
As usual, our table at Citricos was beautiful with colorful seating and a nice table placement!
Menu
After we sat down, we scanned the QR code and looked at the menu!
Citricos also got a brand new menu, crafted by Chef Andres Mendoza. Starters include several options, like a Strawberry Salad, Smoked Duck Breast, Wild Mushrooms Arancini, and more.
New entrees include Butter-poached Florida Cobia, Guava Barbequed Short Ribs, Roulade of Chicken, and more!
You can also add enhancements to your meal, including Truffle Macaroni and Cheese, Smoked Cauliflower, and Grilled Marble Potatoes.
Pastry Chef Kristine Farmer has come up with some lovely new dessert offerings, including a Warm Apple Rose and Chocolate Torte.
When we were sat down at our table, we were also given paper menus with wine…
…cocktails and mocktails as well as beers and ciders…
…an allergy menu…
…and the regular menu!
Today, we got the Old-Fashioned Orange Soda Float with Handcrafted orange syrup, House-made seltzer, and Vanilla Bean Ice cream…
…the Amaro Grapefruit Spritz with Amaro Nonino, Antica Vermouth, Tanqueray Gin, House Grapefruit, Florida Honey, and House seltzer…
…and the 212 Manhattan with Angels Envy Bourbon, Bertrand Banyul’s, and Chocolate Bitters.
To eat, we tried the Strawberry Salad with Chamomile Infused Goat Cheese, Frisée Lettuce, Bacon Vinaigrette, and Spiced Sunflower Seeds…
…the Smoked Duck Breast with Fresh Tagliatelle Pasta, Celeriac Purée, and Duck Confit…
…the Domestic Golden Tilefish with Jupiter Rice Chorizo “Risotto”, Key West Pink Shrimp, and Confit Tomatoes…
…the Guava Barbecued Short Ribs with Aged Cheddar Creamy Grits, Roasted Poblano, Curtido Slaw, and Brussels Sprouts…
…and the Truffle Macaroni & Cheese with House-made Gnocchetti, Summer Black Truffles, Sottocenere al Tartufo, and Tarragon.
For dessert, we ordered the Blackberry Tartelette with Lemon Bavarian and Blackberry Mousse enrobed in Glacage with Candied Violet…
…and the Orange Blossom Flan with Blood Orange Gelée, Orange-scented Shortbread, and Orange Blossom Honey-drizzled Fruit!
Of course, we’ll be doing a full review of the newly-revamped Citricos, so make sure to keep checking DFB for that!

Seems less upscale and not as intimate as before.
