The FastPass+ system at Disney World has not returned since the parks reopened in July of 2020, and there’s no word on when it will.
FastPasses essentially let you book a time slot to skip most of the line on attractions. Disneyland Paris recently implemented a new system of paid FastPasses, called Disney Premier Access. This is different from Disney World, where FastPasses were free to guests with a park ticket. Now we have a look at the exact pricing for Disneyland Paris’ new FastPass system.
The new Disney Premier Access program at Disneyland Paris allows guests to pay for Premier Access for each ride. You have to be inside the park to purchase (at Disney World you could book ahead of time), which is done through the Disneyland Paris App. You find the ride you want to buy access for, choose a time slot available, and purchase.
Only certain rides are available for Premier Access and each ride varies in price. We took a look at the prices in Disneyland Park to get an idea of what each ride costs. Keep in mind these prices are per guest, per attraction.
Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast and Peter Pan’s Flight are both €15, which is about $17.79 and Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain is €9, which is about $10.68.
Big Thunder Mountain is at €12, which is about $14.23 and Star Tours: The Adventure Continue and Autopia are both €8, which is about $9.49.
The other two rides that have Premiere Access are Ratatouille: The Adventure and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror inside Walt Disney Studios Park, but they were currently unavailable at the time of writing.
After you purchase Premier Access for an attraction, you will go to the ride during the time slot you selected, present a QR code from the app, and be admitted to the fast lane for the attraction. You can buy up to 3 Disney Premier Access for each attraction per guest, per day, and up to 12 Disney Premier Access for one attraction and one-time slot at a time (depending on availability). There is a limited number of Premier Access passes.
If you don’t want to pay for Premier Access, you can still wait in the regular standby line, but you will need to reserve a pass through the Disneyland Paris app first for physical distancing purposes. Those passes are free.
As we wait to hear about FastPasses in Disney World again, we do wonder if they will change from being free to being an additional price. With paid FastPass system in multiple parks, it seems like a huge possibility. Stay tuned to DFB for updates!

K. Sullivan says
No, I would not buy fast passes. Disney is already getting too classist and too expensive. This might just be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Our annual Disney trips may end.
Paul says
The only way I would pay this would be for new rides that have ridiculous waits.
I would consider it foe Flight of Passage, Tron, Guardians of the Galaxy, Rattitoule and maybe Slinky Dog. The only reason would be these have (or will have) very large lines a day spending an extra $300 to be able to ride other things while people are pulled into these lines would be tempting. The problem is the rides I mentioned would also be the only ones other people would use.
Personally, I think a one fastpass at a time like it used to be would be fair. You would have to get it once inside the park. That would mean you really would benefit from the new half-hour early opening. You could go get in line for a big ride while reserving a fastpass. You should be able to hit a second ride also this way. It would make a tremendous difference.
If Disney wanted to still sell up charged fastpasses somehow they could. People would still be able to get something for free.
Just do the math… they will need to sell a ton of these to be profitable. People just aren’t going to pay that much for a ride that isn’t the top one or two the park or brand new. They would need a line to be operated by several additional cast members, plus all the costs of setting this up and running it from a technical standpoint.
I think they would do better with the free fastpass like I mentioned before. Possibly limit how many top tier rides you can get in a day for free. I would pay $15 or $20 per person per day for unlimited fastpasses IF good ones were available. We will see but I think it won’t work well in the US.
Nita Thomas says
Ni, I would not pay “extra” for a Fast Pass!!!
Disney needs to control the number of people allowed in at one time.
Disney is becoming entirely too greedy!

NO
Lorna from the UK says
I’m of the opinion that I’ve already bought my day in the park and it wasn’t cheap and I’m also going to be spending even more money whilst in the park.
The fast pass was a little perk from Disney to say “Hey, we see you and we appreciate you, here are 3 fast passes for you to enjoy on us”. It’s a little bit of pixie dust and extra magic.
Being nickeled and dimed constantly is such a turn-off especially when you feel you’ve already paid enough. I don’t think I’m desperate enough to ride any ride for an extra $17. I’m good thanks, I’ll just wait in the queue line, that they have so beautifully prepared for me to enjoy!
Mike says
WDW is already Way Way Overpriced, To pay even MORE for FastPass is Repulsive ! There is a point when they will Loose there Fanbase, that time may be Near !
Mr . JOHN says
If Disney World has fass passes for sale to pay extra I do not think it be worth to keep going to disney or just enjoy the park and not worry about rides . Disney is making family’s not want to go the cost is high and it would be to expensive to think about going . Family would need some other destination for vacation that is not expensive .
Holland says
No way I will pay for fast passes. This is over the top. Disney continues to raise prices on everything and is continuing to cut events out or failing to offer more entertainment. I realize the pandemic has cost them financially but this is beyond the unacceptable
Luis Martinez says
No
Gary says
I absolutely would not pay for a ride by ride fast pass, I would consider a daily pass similar to universal Studios
K says
NO!
jason says
No!!! If WDW does this i will cancle my trip for a third time and never return! We go every year sometimes twice, each stay 10 to 14 days, and we are not vacation club. Bring back fastpass+ and unrestricted park hopper and meal plans or we are done.
Luis Martinez says
No I would not.

NO

No you already pay a ridiculous amount to stay there. They keep cutting services. We went about 7 years ago and stayed club level it was very good. Went back a year later the quality was way down for the price we paid. We have an October trip and it will more than likely be the last trip. No magic express no fast pass give me a break. When people stop going they will figure it out. That is corporate greed nothing else. You can bet the cast members are not seeing pay increases.
Lourie M Shartzer says
I just paid almost $6000 for my package. I now have to pay for my magic band. I have to pay to park in the resort parking lot where I am staying for 12 days. You are taking away the Magical Express so if I want to fly I have to pay more to get from the airport to the resort. I have to gather my own luggage. You took away the extra magic hours. I still have to come up with money for food. You want me to buy somewhat overpriced souvenirs and now you are asking if I would pay for a fastpass. Are you kidding me, Disney? I’ve been going to Disney almost my whole life and this is just about the final straw. I was never a big fan of the fastpass anyway. I am sick and tired of people complaining about having to stand in a line. I get that it is hard for some people. I am 70 years old myself. But, for crying out loud, if you don’t want to stand in a line, go somewhere else on vacation where there aren’t 70,000 people on any given day. NO WAY am I paying for a fast pass so I can make another long line that makes other people have to stand in an even longer, slower line. Thanks for listening!!
CT says
Absolutely not! It is already super expensive to go to WDW. With the increases in the cost of food items, increase price of tickets, having to pay to park overnight at onsite hotels, and the reduction in extra Magic benefits, why even stay onsite at all? $17 per Fast Pass? That’s waaaaay too expensive. WDW is effectively making it too expensive to go there. Time to look for other options.
Travis says
I am thinking that free fast passes will be offered to all hotel guests in an attempt for Disney to completely fill all their hotels. Makes more sense to fully staff a full hotel and they have so many hotels/resorts on property. The question is AP members…do they get free fast pass or does Disney charge them and then drop the AP yearly fee way done? Could be the reason for waiting so long to release the new AP benefits and the actual AP purchases.
Barbara says
No!!!! Disney already makes tons of money every day!!
Gary says
Absolutely a big fat no Disney you have lost your mind just like the government
Julie says
Nope, No and NO WAY!
Ed says
Reserve a park, then reserve a pass, if you don’t want to pay for a pass you’ll still need to reserve a pass which is a free pass, unlike the paid pass, which is in addition to the reserved park, uh, pass. Getting absurd.
Susan B Klinger says
No way!! Disney has taken away all the perks and all the services that made a Disney trip magical. Ridiculous pricing!! Disney is nothing special anymore. Does not provide any services for an enjoyable family vacation as it used to in the past. So sad. It’s now all about the money.
E=McSquared says
Seventeen dollars for Buzz Lightyear and Peter Pans Flight??? Am I missing something? Peter Pan was one of my favorite rides visually but why on Earth would I pay $17 for a ride I literally walked right onto during my last trip?
This is completely absurd!
I wouldn’t pay those rates, for any ride, for any reason!
My family will happily head on over to Universal if this incessant uptick in price and lack of perks continues at Disney thank you very much!
Joyce Corlett says
We will not pay for Fast Pass. Again, it’s one more perk that Disney is taking away. Add the cost of transportation from the airport, fast passes and the ridiculous cost of food, the price of a Disney trip just increases by easily $200 – $300 per person. Families won’t be able to afford a trip to Disney. More and more these decisions get further from Walt’s original vision of a place where families can enjoy a day together. WDW won’t be the Most Magical Place on earth, it will be the Most Expensive Place on Earth! Disney is not invincible and the execs better wake up, EVERYTHING has a saturation point and they’re quickly reaching it.
John Keating says
Has Disney lost direction
What does it mean to families to holiday at Disney how many happy memories were made at Disney the first look walking up Main Street towards the castle will not be forgotten now with a young family sharing our experience priceless
Yet now no magic hours no magical express no free magic bands no fast pass constant price increases
We travel for 2 weeks from Ireland every year
We stay on site
We live in a Disney bubble for two weeks and leave wanting more
Well maybe no more
It’s time to say enough is enough
Decision made it’s universal next may
We will miss the time at Disney
Annie says
I cannot understand why they can justify taking away fast passes for Covid/social distancing. In fact due to lack of fast passes, there are now longer lines creating less social distancing. It would seem that the expense of all the Covid precautions and being closed for many months created a huge cash drain and they are looking for avenues to recoup, so I have no doubt that selling fast passes will be coming to the US parks. After more than 50 trips to WDW, Disneyland and Disneyland Paris, I have spent a lot of money at the parks and in the expensive resorts,. Like the others commenting, I feel that staying in the resort hotels and paying for expensive tickets should include 3 fast passes a day without another fee on top of that!
Essie says
Some parks have you pay for every ride that you go on,but you get into the park for free. Does Disney really want both??? You pay a huge amount to get into the park, and then pay more to get onto the rides?
Stephan says
Just another way Disney is trying to get more and more money. If they decide to do it then we will be done with Disney. From the magical express ending to now having to pay for fast passes, come on Disney.
John Staley says
OK Disney …. I’ve been watching these comments for over 2 weeks now (and also comments on other Disney forums). So the original comment (from the Disney folks) was that public acceptance of the $17.00 increase was 50/50. Haven’t heard from the “pro” side, just hundreds of negative comments. Is someone from Disney going to step up and justify or are you going to try to spin the “paid park pass” as a “good thing”? I’m sure we all would like to hear back from you folks
DFB Sarah says
Hi, John. DisneyFoodBlog is not affiliated with Disney, so we can’t speak on their behalf. The 50/50 response was from a DFB social media poll.
Arthur Dumont says
Probably not
MM says
No — I would not pay for a FastPass. I love WDW but this is ridiculous. I have a family of 4. To suggest we pay $68 for all of us to get into a quicker line for 1 ride is absurd. This isn’t the “Disney for everyone” that was Walt’s vision. No. Definitely no. It’s not only elitist but also distasteful.
Beth says
Absolutely not! Disney is already a very expensive vacation. We have been DVD owners for a number of years and alway used magical express as we live in western Canada. Now we will be paying for transportation to and for the airport plus all the regular price increases, it might be time to sell
Amy says
Absolutely not. I understand that Disney is a business and I am sure that they took a hit financially due to Covid. BUT. So did everyone else.
Everything that made Disney just that little bit more special has slowly eroded away. The magic has gone. Universal is definitely looking more and more appealing.
Why on earth would anyone pay over the top to stay on property and then pay extra to go on rides after already spending an absolute fortune to get into the park anyway?
No more free parking, no more extra magic hours (that one really hurt by the way) no free magical express, no dining plan, no free magic bands and now no free fast pass!
Sorry Disney your greed has gotten the better of you.
To quote Starkid
“The happiest place on earth became the cra**iest place on earth! “
Sean says
Not a chance , Disney is to expensive as it is.
Laura K Legear says
Disney is expensive enough as is. However I may be tempted to pay extra if it was done the way universal studios does their system. You get this included if you stay at some of their “deluxe resorts” or you pay a set price for the day and it’s either a one time use on some rides or a little more money and it’s unlimited for that day.
Exit63cp says
Come on , Disney powers -that- be! You may be hurting financially but so are the people who have kept you in business all these years. Enough with pricing out those who have been loyal and are often repeat visitors annually or even several times in one year. You continue to slam the average family and even those who struggle for the first family vacation to Disney World or Disney land for that matter. At 67, I continued to defend my repeat visits until now. Star Wars Hotel…excuse me, “experience” ….. may be off my bucket list even though I was one of the first in Galaxy Edge in Disneyland in June of 2019. You make it next to impossible to make these things a family affair when my cost would be over $20,000 NOT EVEN INCLUDING OTHER COSTS TO REMAIN LONGER THAN TWO DAYS!!! How dare you add insult to injury for the loyal patrons and new ones, to charge per ride per patron for fast passes. No wonder why people are turning to Universal and other entertainment venues/parks. I could go on and on as I have before and keep thinking that Walt is turning in his grave. He wasn’t a saint but he certainly recognized where and how his bread was buttered! Good luck, fellow Disneyphiles ,who find this as reprehensible as I do.
Kimberley Schulman says
This company came out about inclusivity. Yet you are fast becoming what you boast to be against. Families give up meat, other activities, etc to save. You ar printing to kids From all walks of life, on food, clothes, vitamins, toys, EVERYWHERE. Yet your vacations are only for the privileged the more they take away and cost. !!
