Disney’s Imagineers, comprised of Cast Members with roles such as engineers, illustrators, architects, writers, and more, are behind many of your favorite Disney Parks attractions and experiences.
Today Disney released a video featuring behind the scenes looks at some of the incredible projects Imagineers have done (and are still working on!), so if you want to know more about some of your favorite rides, read on!
Disney posted a one-minute long video called the “Walt Disney Imagineering Innovation Showcase,” featuring some of their projects like robot Groot, projections on Cinderella Castle, ride animatronics like Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT!, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and Spider-Man at Disney California Adventure. You can see Imagineers creating some of these iconic Disney Parks attractions!
We also got a glimpse of a REAL LIGHTSABER, which will debut at the new Star Wars hotel, the Galactic Starcruiser, opening in Spring 2022. The real lightsaber actually extends and retracts!
