Disney and its theme parks are committed to being environmentally friendly and sustainable!
From solar canopy plants in Disneyland Paris, to making merchandise out of recycled plastic bottles, to creating Cast Member costumes from trash, Disney has set some pretty big and ambitious environmental goals. Now, in a way only Disney could, Disneyland Paris has started working with a company to make recycling more magical all throughout major Spanish cities!
In the Disney Parks, you’ll probably notice that you are never more than a few steps away from a well-themed trash can or recycling bin. These trash cans also tend to be, well…pretty adorable! But these recycling containers from Disneyland Paris and Ecovidrio (a non-profit glass recycling organization in Spain) are the probably the cutest ones we’ve EVER seen!
These adorably themed recycling drop-off points ranged from beloved characters like Minnie Mouse and Goofy to newer iconic Marvel and Pixar characters like Remy from Ratatouille and the Hulk. Could you imagine these around Disney World?
The incredibly cute recycling points can be found in cities such as Madrid, Bilbao, Salamanca, Gijón, and many other major Spanish cities. They set up 120 of these recycling points to remind people about the importance of recycling, along with increasing efforts to help combat climate change.
We wish these recycling points would come to Disney World, too! We’ll continue to keep you updated on the latest from Disney, so stay tuned for more.
