This year we’ve seen a number of changes made when it comes to Disney’s holiday events.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has been canceled for this year, but guests can still celebrate the holidays through the NEW Disney Very Merriest After Hours event. During the event, guests will get to enjoy holiday treats, see snow falling on Main Street, U.S.A., and more. But guests will also get to see something very unique when it comes to fireworks!
Not too long ago we shared that guests at Disney Very Merriest After Hours would have the chance to see the holiday-themed, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show.
This holiday fireworks show features classic Christmas songs like We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
But, After Hours guests can potentially see 2 DIFFERENT fireworks shows at Magic Kingdom in one night. While Disney Very Merriest After Hours will take place from 9PM to 1AM, guests with an event ticket will be able to enter Magic Kingdom as early as 7PM.
Before the holiday fun begins, guests will actually get the chance to watch Disney’s NEW 50th Anniversary fireworks show in Magic Kingdom called Disney Enchantment.
So, guests at Very Merriest After Hours could see Disney Enchantment and then later watch Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks — two entirely different and unique fireworks shows — at Magic Kingdom in just one night. If you’re a BIG fan of fireworks or are just curious to catch both of these shows in a short timeframe, then you’ll want to schedule your trip to take advantage of that.
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more details about Very Merriest After Hours, so be sure to come back for all the latest info.

The whole deluxe hotel guests get exclusive in the parks has been very disappointing. Now they get extra fireworks too!!?? This just rubs this fan the wrong way. People spend extra money to stay in better hotels with more amenities but they do not pay extra money for park tickets. They are not paying for special after hours ticketed events. They are paying the same thing for park tickets as people who stay at value resorts. Very unfair Disney!!
DFB Sarah says
K., the second fireworks show would only be for paying guests of the Very Merriest After Hours party, not for Deluxe guests who enjoy Expanded Evening Hours.
