We’re in the middle of the Halloween season, but that doesn’t mean that we have to wait to prepare for Christmas!
This year, Magic Kingdom is hosting the Disney Very Merriest After Hours in the place of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and quite a few details have been revealed about what it will be like. So without further ado, let’s discuss everything you need to know if you want to visit the event!
Dates & Times
First, let’s talk about WHEN the party is happening. The event will be held on select nights from November 8th through December 21st. There are 24 separate Very Merriest events to choose from, so you should be able to find one that fits with your trip schedule!
Since it is an After Hours event, it will take place after Magic Kingdom closes for the day. Each night the festivities will run from 9PM until 1AM, which is an hour longer than the Halloween-themed Boo Bash!

Tickets
If you’d like to purchase tickets to Very Merriest After Hours, then you should know that they go on sale to the general public on August 20th. Guests of select Disney Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green may purchase their tickets as early as August 17th. You can buy tickets online or by calling 407-939-7947.
Prices for Very Merriest are also a good bit higher than they were for Boo Bash. Tickets start at $169 and run to $229 each for select nights in November and December. Prices go up to $249 each for December 19th and 21st. If you’re an Annual Passholder or a Disney Vacation Club member, you can get a $10 on certain November dates.

Entertainment
As far as entertainment goes, there are quite a few options! Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is returning — the first time a parade has come back to the parks since the closure in March 2020.
Also, you’ll be able to spot some of your favorite Disney characters all around the park throughout the night. Disney specifically mentions pals like the Country Bears, Jiminy Cricket, and friends from the Hundred Acre Wood.
Ready to tap your toes and sing along with some catchy tunes? Try checking out a performance of the Reindeer Wranglers in Frontierland or stopping by the Club Tinsel Dance Party in Tomorrowland.Â
Finally, you can cap off the night with Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks! Amazing pyrotechnics light up the sky to the tune of Christmas hits. And if you arrive before the party starts (your ticket lets you into Magic Kingdom as early as 7PM), you can also catch the nightly showing of Disney Enchantment — the 50th Anniversary fireworks display.
Wow, that’s quite the lineup of entertainment if you ask us! We’re starting to wonder if 4 hours is going to be enough time to accomplish it all.

Other Offerings
Guests of Very Merriest will be able to experience lots of special and unique offerings, including holiday attraction overlays, exclusive snacks, exclusive PhotoPass opportunities, and “magical snowfall” on Main Street, U.S.A.
Also, because this is an After Hours event, guests are promised lower wait times and smaller crowds than you would find during the daytime at the parks. More than 20 attractions will be open during the event for you to enjoy!
And as an added bonus, some free treat options will be available at snack carts around the park. You can pick up ice cream novelties, bottled soft drinks, and what Disney calls “seasonal treats.” Does this mean that the free cookies are coming back? We’ll have to wait and see!
That’s everything you need to know about Disney Very Merriest After Hours right now! Stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates leading up to the holiday season and a full review on the night of the first event!

What time is the Christmas parade ??? It’s my favorite!
DFB Sarah says
Jacqueline, the parade rolls through the After Hours event twice: at 9:45PM and at 12:05AM. Double check the times in your map on the night of your event just to be sure they haven’t changed!
