There are LOTS of hotel renovations happening in Disney World.
Some that we’ve been following are the renovations coming to Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and the updates coming soon to the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Now, Disney has announced one big change that’s coming to the villas at both of these resorts!
Some resorts — like Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Riviera Resort — have fold-down beds in the rooms to provide extra sleeping space for guests. The beds can be pulled down…
…and then pushed back into the wall to create more space in the room when you don’t need the bed.
Disney announced today that these fold-down beds will be coming to the Polynesian’s Villas and the Villas at Grand Floridian. The foldaway beds are going to be located behind the living room sofas in these resorts.
This renovation is starting in November at Disney’s Grand Floridian Villas, and it’s expected to be finished this fall at the Polynesian. According to Disney, “these projects are part of an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement that keeps our neighborhood of resorts ahead of the curve.”

These are great. My wife and enjoy sleeping in separate beds and now we can do it easily without giving up room open space….
