We are SO excited about the new restaurants opening soon in the France Pavilion at EPCOT!
Both La Crêperie de Paris and its quick service window, Crêpes à Emporter, will be opening on October 1st, just in time for Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration. We got a chance to check both out early, and if you’d like to read our review La Crêperie de Paris, you can do so here. But today, we’re checking out the quick-service window, Crêpes à Emporter.
Atmosphere
You’ll find La Crêperie de Paris in the France Pavilion at EPCOT next to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure (which also officially opens on October 1st!). To the right, you’ll see a series of windows where you can place your order and get your delicious crepes to go at Crêpes à Emporter (which translates to “Crêpes To Go”).
Although there isn’t much to talk about as far as atmosphere goes here, there are some nice details you’ll want to check out. Above the window are some ornate French-style windows.
There are also other various decorative elements you might miss if you’re not looking for them.
When you’re ready to place your order, all you have to do is get in line. Then you’ll pay for your food and pick it up at the pick-up window. Your receipt will have a number on it to correspond with your order.
Easy-peasy! Crêpes to go! We love it! So what about those crêpes?
Eats
The menu at Crêpes à Emporter is smaller than the one you’ll find inside at La Crêperie de Paris. It features three savory galettes, four dessert crêpes, and ice cream, along with a few hard ciders, wines, and other drinks. Note that some of these options are actually different from what you can get inside!
We started with drinks and HAD to try out the Ciders. Heads up, these are not your big pint glasses of cider you might be more familiar with in EPCOT.
The Cidre Brut is a dry cider, but we liked it. It wasn’t too sweet and had just a hint of apple flavor.
But the Cidre Doux was just the opposite, and we thought it was WAY too sweet. It tasted a lot like apple juice, and although we don’t hate apple juice, that’s too much sweetness for us in a cider. Both ciders are $5.95 each.
But what about the food? Well, we ordered all three savory crêpes — you know, for science! All three savory galettes are served on a buckwheat crêpe, hence the darker color. If you’ve never had buckwheat, it’s actually very flavorful. It’s more complex of a flavor than straight whole wheat would be, but not as milk as if made with bleached flour.
The Cream of Brie Cheese Galette for $9.95 was our favorite. Inside was a creamy and tangy Brie cheese fondue. Melty cheese FTW! You know we love our cheese!
The Bechamel, Cheese, and Ham Galette for $10.95 reminds us of the Ham and Cheese Croissant from Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie , but in galette form. The sauce inside was SO creamy (bechamel is basically thick, creamy white gravy!) and the cheese was a strong Swiss cheese with LOADS of flavor. Again…we can’t help it — CHEESE. And this one had cheese on top, too (OK, just a little cheese, but it’s still there!).
We also loved the Ratatouille Galette — the Tomato, Zucchini, and Eggplant inside have a ton of flavor with all those veggies and herbs. But here’s a DFB tip — get this AND the Brie Galette and take a bite of them together! Because, well, everything is even better with cheese, right? Do you sense the theme here? 🧀
Our only negative, and it really isn’t one, is the presentation. It leaves a bit to be desired. The crepes are quickly folded up and tossed on a plate. A little more care with garnishes or presentation could go far but, honestly, if they’re tasty, we can let visuals slide! Even inside at the sit-down location, garnishes and presentation weren’t the strong points of these crêpes.
Moving on to dessert, the Vanilla Ice Cream Crêpe for $6.95 might have been simple, but it was delicious. The crêpe itself was a butter sugar crêpe, and then it was combined with their incredible soft serve. Our soft serve visually left a little to be desired, but it still tasted just as good. This is incredibly similar to the crêpes previously sold nearby at Crêpes de Chefs de France (which is now closed to make way for this lovely spot!).
We also tasted the Red Berries Crêpe on our first visit to grab some Crêpes to-go. This one will cost you $7.50.
This was very fresh, sweet, and tart. The filling is simply a slightly tart red berry compote with more red berries drizzled on top. It’s simple and sweet without being cloying. Sometimes simple is best. (Though we wouldn’t have turned our noses up to a blob of whipped cream here!)
Nosh Or Not
You should head over to Crêpes à Emporter if…
- You love savory galettes and sweet crêpes — that’s about all that’s on the menu here!
- You want a quick bite to eat — if you stick to the to-go window, you’ll find decent sweet and savory options perfect for strolling around World Showcase.
- You want to try something different — although this is a quick service spot, this isn’t your usual hotdogs and chicken tenders, but something more delicious and yes, even a bit more healthy! The previous crêpe stand in France was very limited in its menu, but this is more robust in its offerings. Have the option to order savory crêpes to eat on the go is a wonderful option.
Skip Crêpes à Emporter if…
- You don’t like crêpes or buckwheat galettes. So basically, you don’t like really thin pancakes with food inside of them. As previously mentioned, that’s about all that’s on the menu here.
- You want a nice table service meal — and if you’re still craving crêpes, you can get that experience inside at La Crêperie de Paris. There’s not much to the exterior of this location — you order, you get your food, and you go.
- You want a heavier meal — these crêpes tend to be pretty thin and light, so if you’re wanting richer and heavier food, you might want to go somewhere else. Even inside at the sit-down option, just keep in mind these crêpes might be delicious, but they’re also not a crazy amount of food.
Overall
It turns out we aren’t just impressed with La Crêperie de Paris, but Crêpes à Emporter is also a solid player for getting some delicious and unique food at EPCOT. And even better, here you can get it to go, which is great if you really want to try a savory galette or sweet crêpe, but don’t want to take the time to sit inside a restaurant to do so.
If you’ve ever strolled around France (the real one, not the one in Florida 😂), crêpes are perfect street food. Customers enjoy watching them made right in front of them (since they cook so quickly) and they’re often quite substantial meals loaded with fillings like chicken, cheese, and more. (Imagine more a big stuffed burrito and less a thin dainty meal) These crêpes are much more simple and smaller, but they come out honestly about where we’d expect price-wise. They’re priced about right considering the quantity and quality of food served.
The menu here is a little more limited than what you might find inside, but there are some different options here that could warrant a visit even if you’ve already dined inside at La Crêperie de Paris. We’ll be curious if this menu remains the same throughout the year or changes from time to time, but you can be sure we’ll keep an eye on it and let you know about it. Crêpes are such a great vehicle for a myriad of flavor combos that this spot has a fun opportunity ahead of it because of that. They can rotate the menu, come up with specials, and more, if they choose to do so. It would be wonderful to see seasonal crêpes (ahem…a gingerbread crêpe would be the bomb!) or unique savory crêpes swapped out from time to time. The location is primed for lots of fun changes as it settles in and grows. We’ll be eager to see how guests react to the quick crêpe option in the park!

Hi I know the galettes are gluten free (looking forward to trying a different option as a Coeliac – hopefully UK are cleared to travel by April 2022!!) but do you know if they offer a GF sweet crêpe at all? Disney are great for a coeliac I just sometimes find their desserts limited – at most of their park venues it is a cookie, brownie or ice-cream. I gather the bakery in France has a chocolate coated meringue. I have been to Erin McKenna’s on our last trip and also went to Animal Kingdom lodge to get the GF zebra domes and Port Orleans French Quarter to get the GF beignets. It would be nice if Disney could add a yogurt fruit pot with no granola or a mousse. I had hoped to be able to have the cream cheese dessert at Satuli Canteen but sadly no. Many thanks.

Just wanted to comment here as we just got back from a trip a couple days ago. Although the savory ones are made with buckwheat, everything is cooked on a shared surface and by default, the dessert crepes are NOT gluten free.
The hostess herself does not recommend eating here if you have celiac, so my wife and I left very disappointingly despite having a reservation.

The interior is so unimaginative and very un Disney I would say. Maybe Disney will re think the menu and add some pixie dust to this restaurant.
