It’s Spooky Season, folks!
Disney loves to celebrate Halloween early, so we’ve been enjoying lots of fall festivities in Disney World since early August! Now, Disneyland is joining in on the fun with Oogie Boogie Bash! We were at the event recently to see all of the themed treats, frightening villains, and more. But, if you visit Oogie Boogie Bash, you can also buy a ticket for a very special dessert party. We got the chance to check out this dessert party recently and now we’re sharing ALL the details with you!
Guests attending Oogie Boogie Bash can add on a dinner or dessert package to their evening for some extra delicious fun. The Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party takes place at Sonoma Terrace, which is located in the Pacific Wharf area of Disney California Adventure Park Park.
The party takes place about 45 minutes before the Frightfully Fun Parade begins and a ticket for the package gives you access to select snacks, drinks, and preferred seating for the parade.
The Dessert Party is $84 per person and you must also have a ticket to Oogie Boogie Bash to attend. Reservations are highly recommended. Same-day reservations may be made, subject to availability. All members of your party must be present before seating, so just keep that in mind.
When we checked into the dessert party, we were taken to a table where there were napkins…
…and a menu. There were 6 different snacks available as well as some alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
The drink we got was the Festival Fall Punch, featuring a mixture of pineapple, orange, cranberry, and Sprite. It was topped with whipped cream and sprinkles.
In terms of the treats, we were provided with one of each item.
The snacks included a red velvet bundt cake, orange dreamcicle rice crispy, chocolate meringue mousse, dark fudge cake pop, raspberry mini streusel, and gummy centipedes.
Again, keep in mind that one of the big perks of this dessert party is that it offers preferred seating for the Halloween-themed parade that takes place during Oogie Boogie Bash.

Are you going to Oogie Boogie Bash this year? Let us know in the comments!

I know you said you would be posting a full review, but I’m curious if you can answer some questions here, or in that full review.
Is this situated in such a way that any (non-dessert party) guests could be placed in front of you if it’s a busy night? Or are the tables essentially right up against the edge of the parade route.
Do you know if it’s just one drink per person, or two? While the treats look good, the price does seem a little steep this year, even for getting the ability to be seated. Now if I could get two alcoholic drinks, that offsets the feeling of high price by a lot… especially how much Disney drinks usually run.
Also, if you happen to do another party (even if you don’t do another dessert party), could you ask a cast member if very simple substitutions can be accommodated for the treat, like if you’re vegetarian and you know for sure those gummy worms (errr, centipedes) have gelatin in them, could you politely ask for them to be swapped out for another of any of the other items?
Looking forward to this, it’s been too long since doing a Disney Halloween party and I’m so glad this dessert party came back!
Oh, finally, did you guys feel fairly spaced out? I’m really happy it’s another outdoor food/treat opportunity and I worry *considerably* less with COVID stuff when being outside, but I’m curious if it felt packed in or not.
