Disney World’s turning 50 this year and there’s a MASSIVE celebration that’s about to begin!
We’re already seeing a lot of things in the parks in anticipation of the celebration’s opening day, on October 1st. Cinderella Castle got a serious glow-up. EPCOT is undergoing a massive transformation. The park icons have started getting their new lighting schemes. We’re getting TWO new nighttime shows, one at Magic Kingdom and another at EPCOT.
AND the fab 50 golden character statues have appeared across the resort. These statues are spread out all over the parks, and if you’re not actively looking for some of them, you might miss them! But don’t worry — because here’s a guide to where you can find EVERY ONE.
Magic Kingdom
The first statue you’ll see is Lady and the Tramp on Main Street, U.S.A.
You won’t have to look too hard to find the statues that are around the hub in front of Cinderella Castle. Going around the center hub in a clockwise direction, you’ll find Chip and Dale…
…Donald and Daisy…
…Mickey and Minnie…
…and Goofy and Pluto!
On the outer part of the hub towards Tomorrowland, you can spot Timothy and Dumbo.
The adorable Pooh and Piglet statue can be seen on the outskirts of the hub towards Crystal Palace.
On the way from the hub to Liberty Square, you’ll spy Tinker Bell — you’ll have to search for her because she’s hidden in the trees!
Gus Gus and Jaq can be found on one of the castle turrets to the right of Cinderella Castle.
Head on into Tomorrowland and find the Purple Wall located between Tomorrowland Terrace and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor — Stitch is hanging out there!
If you head into Adventureland from the hub, you’ll see Abu hanging out on the right side of the main Adventureland sign.
Orange Bird can also be found in Adventureland. You’ll find him perched on the porch of one of the buildings there near Sunshine Tree Terrace.
In Fantasyland near Mad Tea Party, you’ll have to get up on your tip toes to see the Cheshire Cat.
Also near the Mad Tea Party is the Mad Hatter (obviously).
Pinocchio is just strolling along near the entrance to the newer part of Fantasyland.
Cogsworth and Lumiere are also near the entrance to the newer part of Fantasyland. They are both near Prince Charming Regal Carrousel!
EPCOT
Our favorite purple dragon — Figment — can be found in EPCOT’s Future World!
Then, as we were about to enter the World Showcase, we found Olaf, and he has a friend! Check out the little Fire Spirit Bruni from Frozen II hanging out on the base of the statue!
Also near the entrance of World Showcase is Pua and Hei Hei from Moana! It’s good Hei Hei is stuck in one place so he can’t wander off!
In the same area, you can find Rocket Raccoon and Baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy!
And also around here is Miguel and his dog Dante from Coco!
Animal Kingdom
Over at Animal Kingdom, we found a bunch of the new character statues around the Tree of Life! First, we saw Bambi and Thumper, plus a gold butterfly that landed on Bambi’s tail.
Then, we found Simba by the Tree of Life as well, hanging out with Timon and Pumbaa!
Next, we saw Nemo and Dory, but they are pretty hidden (which makes sense, if you think about it😉)! Look to the right of the Tree of Life and they are hiding in some nearby bushes.
Hollywood Studios
If you’re looking for gold character statues in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, go to the hub area in front of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. All of the characters we found in that park were here! First we spotted Edna Mode and Frozone, to the left if you’re facing the Chinese Theatre.
They were both in the landscaping, in front of the Dockside Diner restaurant and Frozen Sing-Along attraction.
If you look to the right, you’ll see Joe Gardner from Pixar’s Soul just in front of the Hollywood Studios archway.
Close to Joe — just in front of the Brown Derby restaurant — you’ll find Flounder and Sebastian from The Little Mermaid.
R2-D2 and BB-8 are also hanging out in this hub area!
Finally, you’ll find Woody and Bo Peep, right in front of the Chinese Theatre.

Joe doesn’t have a 50th marker…. wonder why
LeLe says
I wish there were actually 50 statues all together in all of the parks. BTW: I actually am applying to work at Disney World!
Thank you so much for all of these posts! Also, can you do research on why Joe Gardner does not have a 50th stamp? <3
Elaine Morrison says
Agh wish the list was out 2 weeks ago when we were in Orlando, I don’t suppose they will be there next year.😢😢😭
Ken says
I did not get to see many of the statues even though I was at the parks for 7 days. Wished they had a solution map for those that don’t have the time to actually find everyone via scavenger hunt
