Time to take a look at another new treat available at one of my very favorite spots in Epcot, Karamell-Küche!
If you aren’t familiar with this little gem in the German Pavilion of World Showcase, you should get to know it. Soon. Seriously. All manner of buttery, caramelly, chocolate-dipped goodness here leaves me a happy, happy girl.
We recently told you about a new addition to the Karamell-Küche lineup: the Caramel Corn Cupcake. Today, we are trying a second new offering: Chocolate and Caramel Covered Grapes. Fruit! Healthy! Hallelujah!
I know. They’re a little…different. But I am all about telling you the latest and greatest, so try them I did.
The fresh, red grapes are skewered, then dipped in dark or milk chocolate and drizzled with that yummy, buttery Werther’s caramel.
The grapes were sweet-tart and juicy, and contrasted nicely with the smooth, creamy, rich chocolate and caramel. If you are a fan of fruit and chocolate combinations, you will most likely enjoy this offering, which is a little more uncommon than your classic chocolate dipped strawberries. Folks who don’t appreciate their chocolate hiding something fruity or juicy probably won’t care for the mouth feel or taste of this snack.
My thoughts? I liked them. I liked the cross between healthy and juicy, and decadent and creamy. 🙂 I think these will be good for kids, but be sure to unskewer them first (the grapes, not the kids) if junior will be walking-and-eating.
These are also a good between-meal snack that won’t fill you up, but will give you a small-and-satisfying sweet taste.
Will you try Chocolate Caramel Grapes at Karamell-Küche anytime soon? Leave us a comment and let us know!

Interesting! I haven’t spotted these before. It seems like a nice, easier-to-eat alternative to their delicious but-hard-to-finish caramel apple.

Of all they have to offer, probably not what I would choose, but if I decided to try a couple items I might. My 6 year old might like them.

No way! How did I miss these when I was there a couple of weeks ago? I know I would love them! I won’t be back until September…these are definitely going on the must-do list for that trip!

I am not that much into sweets, but that really looks like yum!

Wow – I’ve never really considered covering grapes in chocolate but I love raisins covered in chocolate. Those were once grapes! I must try these.
Also, red wine is grapes and it’s delicious when paired with chocolate. 😉

I am thinking I need to try this when I am there in 11 days!

I’m with you, one of my FAVORITE places in all of Disney World for a great snack. I will definitely have to try these, along with another chocolate caramel rice krispy treat, or two or ten. And maybe some caramel corn! Ok, drooling now…

I’m not going to have enough money when I go there for the first time in November. 🙁 I wonder what it would cost to buy ‘one of everything’? 🙂
Essie says
BTW, how much are these little treasures?

Yum they look so good! I might have to try and recreate the recipe somehow. It just looks amazing.
Michelle says
Oh, my! I will definitely give these a try! Yummy!! Thanks for sharing.

I’ve never heard of chocolate covered grapes. Are these a thing elsewhere?
And I’m assuming the grapes are seedless. Otherwise, ewww.

Those chocolate covered grapes are really common here in Brazil, as common as strawberries. Never seen one with caramel before, it should make them even jucier.

Does the chocolate and caramel covered grapes count as a snack point? I’m carefully calculating my “snacking around the world” for our next trip. 🙂

After reading this last month, I had to try them last weekend. They were yummy! There are 4 grapes per skewer and cost $2.99. A bit expensive, worth trying at least once.

We just got back from a trip to the World, and they had another new addition – chocolate caramel pineapple spears. They were fabulous! Tried the grapes, as well, and they were both a refreshing treat. Great to cool down with in the Florida heat!
