Disney World is turning 50 years old this year! And in case you haven’t noticed, the whole resort is getting ready to put on a HUGE 50th Anniversary Celebration.
And there is SO much going on at the parks in anticipation of the big day. We’ve seen golden statues all over the resort, we’ve watched Cinderella Castle get a 50th anniversary update, we noticed a birthday cake and topiary appear at Magic Kingdom, and we’ve seen testing for the upcoming Disney Enchantment fireworks show!
We’ve already heard some sneak peeks of the music for Disney Enchantment and seen some concept art to give us an idea of what to expect, but today, we got even MORE details about just how magical this new show will be!
Disney has revealed some details about certain scenes in the show including a scene where Cinderella Castle is “aswirl in scenes of wonderment, thanks to state-of-the-art projection technology.” Then guests will “set sail across the sea with Moana, soar above the clouds on Aladdin’s magic carpet and more.” The projections will extend from the castle down Main Street, U.S.A.,” complementing the images on the castle while creating an entirely new immersive and expansive environment for Magic Kingdom.”
And if that doesn’t sound magical enough, there’s also a scene with Soul’s Joe Gardner, who will play his piano and take guests into the “zone” with him. As he plays his piano, “shimmering blue and purple lighting” extends from the castle into art inspired by Disney Legend Mary Blair.
Um…all we can say is “WOW!” 🤩 We can’t wait to see it for ourselves! And we don’t even have to wait until October 1st — Disney will be live streaming both Enchantment and EPCOT’s Harmonious for EVERYONE on September 29 and 30! We’ll be sure to have the tissues handy because we are SO going to cry.
Stay tuned because we’re covering EVERYTHING about Disney World’s 50th anniversary!

same IP’s over and over and over in every show in every park, Disney is a broken record. they are only stating about mary blair because of all the complaints that this is not a 50th themed show like it should have been. its really sad the direction they have taken.
