Earlier this week, we watched the last showing of EPCOT Forever, the fireworks show that played over the World Showcase Lagoon.
We’re sad to say goodbye to the old Disney World fireworks shows, like EPCOT Forever and Happily Ever After, but we’re also super excited for the new shows that are replacing them for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary! Before the debut, we took a look at the music, preparations, and even some testing for EPCOT’s new show. Tonight, we’re finally watching the first showing of EPCOT’s Harmonious. Come take a look with us!
As of now, Harmonious will show nightly in EPCOT starting at 9:45PM most evenings. These times are subject to change depending on park hours. Since it takes place on huge barges in the middle of the World Showcase Lagoon, it’s not difficult to get a seat with good views. Tonight, the show started at 9PM!
Now for the moment we’ve all been waiting for — the premiere of Harmonious! The show is a huge spectacle involving custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, lights and lasers, and pyrotechnics. The projections are shown on a four double-sided panels that are each 25 feet high and 88 feet long. In the center is a six-story-tall structure (the huge circle) that shows projections on a curtain of water. Check out the video of its first-ever public performance:
WOW! What a spectacle indeed! We’ll be covering all new shows and events for Disney World’s huge 50th Anniversary Celebration, so stay tuned with DFB!

The show was good overall but I felt like the end lacked the usual big finale moments. It was just kind of like “ok goodnight”

AJ…thank you..THANK you…THANK YOU for sharing that with us! We missed you by 4 days as we enjoyed our last time in the parks for at least a year and a half until the madness dies down a bit, but until then my family and I will watch this over and over!!! Gave me goosebumps right from the start and had me dancing to my favorites : )

Reflections was a great show, inspiring, positive, eye opening and groundbreaking. Sad to see Disney take the failed water pageant from the Animal Kingdom and plop it down here wrapped around some in-rememberable words of music.

Great video. Curious where you were located. I am thinking of booking the fireworks package at Rose and Crown but heard it can be hard to see the graphics on the main screen from there.
