Wow! What a day! We’ve been busy celebrating Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration! And there’s a great big party going on right now with new character cavalcades, nighttime shows, and food!
But that’s not the ONLY cause to celebrate because we’re also celebrating the grand opening of Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
The restaurant is taking up the space that was previously occupied by The Wave…of American Flavors. Steakhouse 71 offers up casual dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Also, there’s a lounge that offers a few bites to eat, along with cocktails.
Atmosphere
The decor has a real 1970s Florida feel right down to the colors used — lots of wooden elements, along with navy and gold. But you’ll also see quite a few Disney details, like some Disney art on the walls.
But we’ve already been here for breakfast AND lunch, so now we’re here for dinner!
Eats
At dinner, Steakhouse 71 becomes a bonafide steak joint. For starters, several Appetizers are also available, like French Onion Soup, Steakhouse 71 Onion Rings, and Bacon & Eggs.
But the entrees are what the carnivores are interested in — various cuts of steaks are available, including New York Strip, Filet Mignon, and Top Sirloin Steak. There’s even a Yorkshire Pudding Option.
Other entrees are available, like Fish, and guests can choose from four dessert options, like old-school Ambrosia. Now THAT’s a 1970s flashback!
There are also a variety of Sides available.
For drinks, guests can choose from specialty cocktails…
…Disney Family wines…
…other wines…
…and beers.
There are also quite a few Non-Alcoholic options.
We started off our dinner with drinks! First, we got the Cocoa Boulevardier with Knob Creek Disney Single Barrel Reserve Bourbon, Campari, Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth, Chocolate Bitters for $17 and the Pear French 75 with Courvoisier VS Cognac, Pear Nectar, Agave Syrup, Lemon Juice, Prosecco for $14!
