Today, we spotted a new piece of 50th Anniversary merch that will bring one particular Disney World scent to your home (and no, it isn’t the smell of the water at Pirates of the Caribbean)!
If you head over to Bayview Gifts (BVG) at Disney’s Contemporary Resort…

…you’ll find a new 50th Anniversary candle! But this isn’t just an ordinary candle, it smells exactly like the Contemporary Resort lobby (we literally stood in the lobby of the Contemporary for a smell comparison for science).
It’s a beauty!
Candles which capture some of those signature Disney scents have been available through third parties for quite some time now. But, now the candle is coming directly from Disney.

You can grab this candle right now for $29.99. When we visited, there were plenty in stock but be sure to check and see if it’s available during your trip.

We’re adding this to our long list of reasons why you’ll want to carefully consider that merch budget when you go to Disney World (seriously, Disney has been on a roll with merch lately — just look at those new Norway Ears!).

Will we see more Disney-scented candles pop up at other resort hotels or in the parks? Disney hasn’t made any announcements on that yet, but we’ll be on the lookout for more updates.

So the same candle sold at the Polynesian smells like the Contemporary?
I believe this is the same signature scent Disney are using in all of their hotels to promote the 50th anniversary celebrations. I heard it is only to be used whilst the 5oth celebrations are ongoing so get it while it lasts!
