Disney Springs is home to so many incredible restaurants, from table service spots like Jaleo and Homecomin’ to quick service gems like the The Polite Pig and Blaze Pizza.
Gideon’s Bakehouse is not only well known to Orlando residents, but also to a lot of Disney World visitors who HAVE to make a stop for some delicious baked goods. If you have a sweet tooth, you might have tried one of their famous half-pound cookies! But if you’re in the mood for more of a breakfast-y sweet or if you don’t feel like waiting in a long line, there’s another Disney Springs location you might want to try — Everglazed Donuts!
Breaking Down the Restaurants
Gideon’s Bakehouse
Gideon’s Bakehouse opened its first location in Orlando in 2016, and in 2020 they opened their Flagship location in Disney Springs. They’re known for their half-pound cookies, cake slices, and specialty coffees, with exclusive flavors and specialty treats available only at the Disney Springs location.
In addition to the unique building and interior design (which we’ll get into), Gideon’s features limited edition treats and the famous Hot Cookie Hour, which is a special designated hour during which you can get a warm Chocolate Chip Cookie straight out of the oven, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. YUM.

Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew
Over on the West Side of Disney Springs, at Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew, “happiness is glazed daily,” or so they say. Here you can find specialty donuts and cold brew coffee, obviously, but you might be surprised to also find sandwiches, fries, and even flavored milk.
Everglazed also has the occasional limited edition donut, and their Grilled Cheeeeeese sandwich is iconic.
And you can even sit and enjoy your donut (or sandwich) in a a cute outdoor seating area under a pergola!

Atmosphere Comparison
Gideon’s Bakehouse is not your average bakery. It has an incredibly distinct look and backstory, with a setting that involves a fictional “purveyor of rare books and antiquities” named Jonathan Lindwurm, who previously “owned” this space. You might feel like you’re stepping into a Tim Burton movie!
Gideon’s is filled with books, art, and antiquities from the Victorian era, and you may spot some curiosities around the bakery. There are also portraits of distinct characters with stories of their own!
You order at the counter in Gideon’s, and you won’t find any seating inside. There’s no designated seating outside either, although you can probably find a spot around Disney Springs to sit and enjoy your cookie.
And if you’ve ever visited Gideon’s, you’ll know that the bakehouse frequently has loooooong lines. You have to bring your patience for a Gideon’s visit!
Now over at Everglazed, it kinda looks like another familiar donut shop you probably know. You might have even walked past this spot without stepping inside.
Inside, you’ll see a case of donuts, and you can order right at the counter.
There’s lots of Instagram-worthy photo opportunities in Everglazed, like this “grass” Tic-Tac-“Dough” wall.
There’s some limited seating inside Everglazed…
…and a nice outdoor space too, with tables and chairs and a pergola for some shade.
If you’re looking for easily accessible seating or maybe you just don’t feel like waiting in a long line, Everglazed might be a great spot to try!
Yes, Everglazed really does have a massive donut for every occasion.
Now let’s get to the food, and get your sweet tooth (teeth?) ready because you’re about to see some mouth-watering goodies!
A Look at Both Menus
At Gideon’s Bakehouse, you can get one of their made-from-scratch cookies for $6, and your choices include their Original Chocolate Chip Cookie, Pistachio Toffee Chocolate Chip, Cookies & Cream, Triple Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Crunch, and a specialty Monthly Limited Edition Flavor, which changes every month. The Coffee Cake Cookie is available daily exclusively in Disney Springs, while it’s only available once a year at the original Gideon’s Bakehouse.
The Chocolate Chip Key Lime Pie Cookie was one of the special monthly limited edition flavors that we got to try back in July.
Cake slices are $9 each at Gideon’s, and the core flavor is the True Red Velvet. There’s also a Daily Chocolate Cake that changes daily, a Daily Double Frosted Cake with rotating flavors, and a Secret Slice that randomly pops up AND you need a password to buy it!
For $9, you get quite a lot of cake for your money. Just look at this ginormous slice of Andes Mint Cookies & Cream Cake that was a Daily Chocolate Cake Slice!
At Everglazed Donuts, the donuts are made from scratch daily, and you’ll find donuts with classic flavors like Vanilla Iced with Sprinkles, to a Fruity Pebbles donut, and a few others for $4.75 each, or you can grab a dozen Assorted Donut Holes for $5. There are also donuts available seasonally.
One of the more unique classic donuts you can find at Everglazed is the Purple Glazed Ube donut, which is a vegan donut made with ube, a purple yam native to the Philippines.
Everglazed also occasionally has some limited edition offerings, like the Nifty Fifty Donut for Disney World’s 50th anniversary.
You can find “Funky Bunch” specialty donuts for $5.75 each, with some BIG flavors like Peanut Butter Explosion, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Maple Double Bacon.
The S’Mores Galore is a Chocolate Iced Donut with Marshmallow Fluff, giant Toasted Marshmallows and crushed Graham Crackers, and we really enjoyed it.
Now when it comes to coffee, Gideon’s serves a wide range of specialty coffees priced from $4 to $6.95, with some unique offers on their nitro cold brew menu, like the Classic White Cold Brew. It’s vegan and meant to be paired with a delicious Gideon’s cookie or cake slice.
Everglazed has customizable cold brews, as well as some speciality cold brews for $6.50 each, like the Cinnamon Bun drink made with Cinnamon Toast Milk!
You can also order Donut Toppers for $10-$11 each for QUITE the cold brew experience, like the time we tried the Brooklyn Blackout Donut on top of a Double Chocolate Nitro Cold Brew.
And at Everglazed, you’ll also find sandwiches for $7-$13 each! You can choose from burger options, breakfast sandwiches, a chicken sandwich, and the famous Grilled Cheeeeeese.
The Grilled Cheeeeeese is not your typical grilled cheese sandwich, either. It’s served on a griddled sweet bun with TONS of cheese.
And don’t forget the sides either, like these Spicy Fries for $7, topped with Buffalo seasoning, Scallions and spicy Mayo.
Gideon’s may have some incredible sweets, but Everglazed has sweet AND savory options for those days when you want both some salty tastes too.
REVIEW: We tried more donuts and breakfast sammies at Everglazed!
While Gideon’s has more unique, limited time, and “secret” offerings, you shouldn’t discount Everglazed, especially if you’re looking for a savory donut sandwich option! Keep reading DFB for more Disney World food news and tips!
