There are lots of new things in Disney World right now for the holidays, including treats, decorations, and entertainment.

Although you’ll see plenty of additions right now, you might see a few things missing as well. Let’s take a look at what’s NOT going to be available on your Disney World trip this coming week.

We’ll start with some attractions in the parks that are scheduled to be closed for all of next week.

Magic Kingdom

The Walt Disney World Railroad is still closed in the Magic Kingdom. This train usually runs around the park, with stops on Main Street, U.S.A., one in Fantasyland, and another in Frontierland.

However, construction on the upcoming TRON: Lightcycle Run roller coaster interrupted the tracks over in Tomorrowland, which means the train can’t run right now.

We’re expecting to see it return when construction over in Tomorrowland finishes up, which could be sometime next year (although Disney hasn’t given an official opening timeline for TRON as of now).

As a reminder, Mickey’s PhilharMagic is OPEN again in Magic Kingdom. This attraction has a new scene inspired by Coco, and it also got a lovely paint job outside.

There’s a new sign over the entrance, with a dark blue background and gold lettering. Make sure to check it out on your next trip!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Kali River Rapids is closed for some scheduled refurbishments, and it’s not expected to re-open until January 1st, 2022.

If you’re looking for a thrill ride in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom, you can always head over to Expedition Everest nearby! This ride is one of the pay-per-ride attractions if you’re hoping to skip the line, but the wait for standby is not usually too bad. So we recommend checking the My Disney Experience app throughout the day and hitting the ride when the wait time gets low.

EPCOT

The Souk-al-Magreb gift shop was supposed to re-open earlier this month, but its doors are still closed.

Disney hasn’t announced with the Morocco pavilion’s gift shop will open again, so stay tuned with DFB for more updates there.

Disney World Hotels

Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort still has not opened. It was scheduled to open in December of this year, but Disney announced that its reopening will be delayed indefinitely due to more construction inside.

Over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, the Big Pine Key building has started its transformation into Disney Vacation Club villas.

The rooms will become 200 resort studios, which are scheduled to open in the summer of 2022.

Disney’s Port-Orleans Riverside Resort reopened last month, but the Boatwright’s Dining Hall did not open with it.

A Cast Member said the dining hall will likely reopen in December, so stay tuned for more updates on that.
