We’re bringing you all the news from Destination D23 this weekend!
Disney’s massive fan event is currently taking place in Disney World and that means a LOT of big announcements are coming. From news about the Disney Wish to an all-new EPCOT restaurant, there’s been some exciting stuff. Now, though, we’ve got news of some amazing offerings returning to Walt Disney World!
Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro announced this morning that Fantasmic! will be returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Festival of Fantasy Parade will be returning to Magic Kingdom NEXT YEAR.
Fantasmic! is the beloved nighttime spectacular featuring Mickey Mouse and dozens of other characters with water effects, pyrotechnics, and more in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It has been unavailable since the parks reopened in 2020 but will be back in 2022.
Similarly, parades have been suspended in Disney World. We recently saw the first parade to return during Disney Very Merriest After Hours with the Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and now a regular daytime parade will return as well! Festival of Fantasy Parade will return to Magic Kingdom in 2022.
Disney has not shared a specific date for either return, but we will update you as soon as one is announced. As always, keep an eye on DFB for all the BIG Disney news!

Ken says
The Fantasmic show was great. I hope they do not re-imagine it. Disney does not have a great track record or re-imagining it’s attractions. Test Track is living proof.
Laurie says
I wonder how much they’ll charge to get into Fantasmic.
