In case you missed it, Disney World is still in the middle of its big 50th anniversary celebration!
And we’ve seen some 50th anniversary souvenirs that are pretty expensive: $100 ornaments, $130 sweatpants, and even $1000 Minnie ears!!! And today, we found yet another pricey souvenir, and we’re still having a little bit of sticker shock.
Perhaps what’s so surprising is that the item in question is a PopSockets PopGrip — you know that little phone grip you can stick to the back of your phone? Well, we found a very blinged-out Disney World 50th Anniversary PopSocket today… .
And yes, it is very blingy — this baby sparkles!
And these PopSockets are selling out fast. There weren’t many left when we saw them in the store — people are grabbing these up like they’re candy. But the price was…wait for it…
…$49.99! Yes, you read that right — $50 for a…PopSocket! And for comparison, PopSockets PopGrips usually only run around $15 – $20!
We spotted these PopSockets at Island Mercantile at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. But like we said, they were going fast, so if you DO want to grab one, you better head to Disney World ASAP.

This is a bellwether of Disney Devoted. They are testing to see just how much money customers (used to be guests) will give them. Once they stop buying, Disney will level off, for a while. But as long as money is no object, all prices will continue to climb.
