One of the most unique new dining experiences in Disney World can be found at EPCOT. Space 220 opened last year after multiple delays and setbacks, but one thing is for sure: you have likely never experienced dining in outer space quite like this.
In addition to all of the lunch, dinner, and lounge items available to try, there’s a special souvenir to collect!
According to Disney, the Space 220 Trading Cards are available with the purchase of a children’s meal OR the purchase of any non-alcoholic cocktail.
There are several cards available to collect, each belonging to a particular series. Each series is named after one of the planets in our solar system (available series include Earth, Venus, and Mercury). There are six cards in each series, including one rare card with a blue foil ink!
Each of the trading cards includes “custom illustrations” and “trivia facts about space exploration, food in space, and sky-high innovations at Space 220.” So, you may find a card like “A Real Scorcer” from the Venus Series that depicts a planetary rover, or you may get a card like “Lunar Bacon Cubes” (we’re DYING to know what the story is behind those).
These aren’t your ordinary custom illustrations. Disney recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into making these space-themed trading cards, all set to a very dramatic space-themed musical score (anyone else picking up on Stranger Things vibes? Just us?). Take a look at the video below:
