To ensure we are equipping our readers with all the information they need, we will continue to report on all travel, safety, and COVID-related news that could impact a Disney Parks visit.
Health and safety requirements have changed quite a bit since the cruise industry has resumed sailings.
Currently, Disney Cruise Line requires all vaccine-eligible guests to be fully vaccinated, and unvaccinated guests ages 4 and under must provide a negative test prior to disembarking. They are now offering an optional way for disembarking guests to ensure a smooth trip home — so here’s what you need to know.
Depending on where you’re traveling from, you might have COVID-19 testing requirements to return home from your cruise. If that is the case for you, as of January 31st, 2022, Disney Cruise Line is now offering optional COVID-19 testing upon disembarkment, conducted at the terminal right after disembarking the ship.
Depending on what your home country or state requires, you can choose to get a PCR test for $98.33 per person, or an antigen test for $41.40 per person. Tests are provided by Inspire Diagnostics, the same third-party testing provider for Disney Cruise Line, and test results will take approximately 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your test type.
So if you’re hoping to avoid having to locate a testing site after disembarking your cruise ship after January 31st, 2022, this is an option for you to consider. Note that this is optional.
