We’re counting down the days until the grand opening of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel!
It opens to the public on March 1st and it’s going to be different than anything Disney has done before, with a 2-day experience that’s more like a cruise than a resort stay. For those who booked the (rather pricey!) experience, it’s just a few weeks until they’ll get to be aboard the Halcyon Starcruiser, and we just got more details on what the trip will be like!
For those with early stays at the Star Wars hotel, you can now access your itinerary in the Play Disney Parks app with the “Datapad” feature. You’ll need to be logged in to your My Disney Experience account to prove that you have a reservation at the hotel, but once you do, you can see your projected schedule for your entire 2-night, 3-day experience. (Keep in mind that this may vary by guest and party.)
Some items on our list are unscheduled, but others have specific times. After arrival (any time from 1PM-4PM), we start things off with a lunch buffet in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room. We’re also given time to explore the ship during that window. Also in the afternoon, we’ll have Datapad Orientation and a Galactic Social. So exciting!
If you click on each item in your list, it expands to show more details. That way, you’re aware of what each event entails before you arrive.
At 4PM, we have the mandatory Ship Muster, where we’ll meet the Captain and Cruise Director. All guests will be present at this event. Immediately following will be the Captain’s Reception, then the first dinner service, where we’ll be entertained with a performance by Gaya, the Twi’lek singing sensation!
After dinner, we’ve got quite a few plans. We’ve got time for two sets of Sabacc Lessons, a visit to Outer Rim Regalia, and to watch the evening’s finale — the CSL Starshow at Bespin. We get to end the night with a fireworks spectacular featuring the music of Gaya.
Starting off on day 2, we’ll begin with the Breakfast Buffet in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room. (Grab-and-go breakfast is also available!) Throughout the day from 8:10AM-4PM, transport ships to Batuu will be available, so that guests can visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Lunch is served anywhere from 11AM-4PM, it just depends on your plans for that day.
If you stay on the ship, there are still activities for you to enjoy. Cantina Chronicles is “a unique tasting of exotic, exclusive non-alcoholic cocktails hosted by a knowledgeable mixologist who shares some fun, interesting, and even startling stories of each drink’s origins, ingredients, and careful preparation.” That sounds right up our alley! At 12:45PM, we have the option to sign up for the Droid Racing Tournament.
But that’s not all the options we have for the afternoon — those who stay on the Halcyon can do Model Ship Building at 1PM, or if you choose to go to Galaxy’s Edge, you’ve got lunch at Docking Bay 7 from 1PM-2PM. It gives you a little flexibility for how you want to plan your adventures.
The afternoon will also have options like the Sabacc Tournament, the Loth-Cat Crew: Porg Protection Drill, and the Know Your Co-Pilot game. Even if we step off in Batuu, we might want to hurry back to enjoy this stuff!
Later on, we’ll have dinner in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room again, followed by “A Halcyon Starcruiser Celebration” at 9:30PM. This will be another pyrotechnic show with a “special musical soundtrack.” Afterward, you can head back to the dining room for dessert!
And on day 3, it’s time to wake up and go. Disembarkation begins at 6AM and lasts until 9:45, where you’ll board a launch pod back to the terminal. Breakfast is available that morning starting at 7AM, and you can either grab it to go or enjoy the buffet.
Wow, it sounds like we’re going to have a very full schedule throughout this trip. As we get closer to the opening date, we’re starting to see more nods to the hotel around the resort, with signs at bus stations and road signs on the highways! We’ll be staying at the Starcruiser during its maiden voyage, so stay tuned to DFB for all the details.

Daryl W says
6-9:45 in the morning to leave? Forget that! Better start extending that to at least 11 like most hotel check out times.
Katharine says
Is the hotel someplace you can visit even if you’re not staying there? For example, most hotels have restaurants serving both guests and non-guests, will the starcruiser have something similar?
Joanna Hurley says
The checkout is funny because it’s just like a real cruise ship. All this leisure and then the last morning it’s “hurry up and leave!”. It’s because they have to turn over ALL the rooms at once, unlike a hotel where it’s staggered.
Ken says
No hotel visits for non-guests for sure. That would spoil the atmosphere of being in a place far far away. If your on a Disney cruise you disembark the ship from yam to 9am and the have thousands of guests to get off vs. just a few hundred at the Star Wars hotel.
RickTR says
Does “Exploring the Starcruiser” to a “few key locations” mean touring the gift shops?
Mockingdragon says
It sounds like on day 1, Starcruiser guests won’t be at Batuu, if I’m reading correctly? I’ll be at Disney March 1-3 so I want to make sure I can get onto Rise of the Resistance without running into the first Starcruiser crowds! I was hoping to hop over in the evening on the 1st, but it also sounds like after about 5 everyone from the hotel would be back on the “ship”? Does that sounds about right?
RickTR says
Look at the schedule above. 8 am to 4 pm on day 2, and that’s strung out. I wouldn’t worry about that crowd, they’ll be more than enough people in line ahead of you.
Marissa Flores says
Is there a way to find out what days the day 3 disembarkations fall on? Heard a tip from Molly at All Ears that it may help to schedule your HS day not on that day.
DFB Gigi says
Hi Marissa, if you click here it will take you to the planning link. The days you see underlined in orange are the days guests will embark/disembark. I hope this helps!
G.Q. says
Hi! Where can I find a schedule of dates. I have a day at Hollywood studios last week of April and I don’t want to make the reservation for when the guests have the morning ‘docked’ at Batuu…
