The Magic Kingdom Cavalcade will retire once the new cavalcade debuts, and we aren’t sure yet whether every character will be moving to the new one. But on a fun note, you’ll be able to check out scenes of adventure and a compass on some of the new cavalcade floats! The daily showtimes will be at 11:15AM, 2:15PM, 4:05PM, and 5:50PM.

If you’re staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort in February, you might want to know that The Little Mermaid pool, aka the Flippin’ Fins Pool, is expected to reopen in late February. This pool is located in The Little Mermaid area of the resort.
On the flip side, the Cozy Cone Pool, located in the Cars area of the resort, will close for refurbishment once the Flippin’ Fins Pool reopens, reopening sometime in mid-April 2022.
But don’t worry! You’ll still be able to swim in the Big Blue Pool and Flippin’ Fins Pool at Art of Animation, as long as the weather cooperates!

Ride Refurbishments
Splash Mountain
Splash Mountain has been closed for refurbishment in Magic Kingdom since January 10th, 2022, and it looks like it may reopen on February 11th.
We’ve been keeping an eye on the progress of the refurbishment, which was due to “regular maintenance,” and not the Princess and the Frog related re-theme.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closing in Magic Kingdom for a very brief, 4-day refurbishment period, from February 14th through the 18th. This is important to keep in mind if you have park passes to Magic Kingdom on those dates!
We recommend checking on Disney World’s refurbishment calendar to avoid missing out on your favorite ride during your next visit!

Various Changes
Sunshine Flyer Service
Disney’s Magical Express, the complimentary service that transported Disney World hotel guests from the Orlando International Airport to their resort, was discontinued on January 1st, and guests must now find alternate means of transportation to and from the airport. One such option is Mears Connect, and another service debuted on February 1st.
The Sunshine Flyer buses resemble train engines and passenger cars, and they will offer round-trip transportation for guests traveling to a Disney World hotel.

Not one, not two, but FIVE special Disney World tours are scheduled to return on February 6th, and you can schedule your reservations now! These tours include Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom, which takes guests through the history of Magic Kingdom, and you might even learn some secrets.
