How much do YOU know about the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios?
Maybe you know about Caesar, the Ventriloquist dummy at the end of the ride (and how Cast Members say hi to him every day to avoid certain doom). Maybe you watched the Behind The Attraction episode on Disney+ about the ride. Or maybe you’ve ridden it dozens of times. But just how well do you REALLY know this attraction?
We’re asking you this because the Tower of Terror was recently the subject of the Final Jeopardy question on Jeopardy! And we’ll admit it was a tough question! So what was the question?
“The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror utilized technology developed by this company founded in 1853.”
Say what? That IS a hard one!
Here’s a video of the contestants trying to work it out — and the correct answer.
That’s right. The correct answer is Otis — the Otis Elevator Company designed the vertical ride system used in the Tower of Terror (and in many other elevators). According to the company’s website, it’s also the world’s oldest and biggest elevator manufacturer, having installed elevators in the Eiffel Tower, the Empire State Building, and more. The more you know, right?
Stay tuned because we’ll be sure to share even more Disney trivia and news!
